Excellent location overlooking the main square and within 25 mins walking distance of the old city. There is a small Carrefour on the square and a larger Monoprix 2 minutes further so shopping was not a problem. The apartment was clean with everything we needed and we were greeted with a bottle of wine and biscuits which was kind. Jean Luc was always available to answer any questions we had and checked in with us regularly to make sure everything was good. This was our first time in Carcassonne and we will definitely come back and would certainly use this property again. Great job, lovely short break for us.

It was still warm in the evenings so the windows needed to be open as we both like that, so there was street noise which was to be expected. This affected my wife more as I always travel with decent earplugs. There were lots of fans provided and a ceiling fan above the bed which we used, opening the window later in the night when it got quieter outside. One other thing that would have helped would be to have a washbasin in the toilet. As it stands you have to come out of the loo and then either wash your hands in the kitchen or shower room which is not what we're used to. However that's not a deal breaker and was a minor quirk in an otherwise perfect stay.

Great location with a view over the piazza. Surrounded by cafes and restaurants. Supermarket on one side of piazza. Train station only 5 min walk. Great communication with owner.

Nothing

Great location on a beautiful square

Apartment advertised with washing machine, however the washing machine didn’t work and I felt like we had very little concern or care from the host. Also, the drains in the bathroom really smell bad and as there is no door between the bathroom and bedroom, it was rather unpleasant. I had already shared this feedback with Jean Luc directly but received no feedback from him. Yet we had 3 reminders that we had to vacate the property by 11am (which we planned to be out by 10am anyway).
