Location and decor were amazing, lots of little touches that made the whole experience really special

Nothing wrong with with the property. However the staircase down to the Stork is quite steep, but this isn’t a criticism as all the staircases along the canal are the same, just be mindful after a couple of drinks 😃

Outstanding and unique location directly along the canal. The apartment was a nice size, with a comfortable couch and dining table and chairs. The bed was very comfortable, although somewhat on the softer, plush side. There was plenty of storage for clothing and personal toiletries. The shower had good water pressure and plenty of hot water for two adults. The kitchen was well stocked and a comfortable size. The entire apartment has an open-concept layout, including the bedroom area, which does not close off from the rest of the space. If you are traveling with someone you would prefer not to see you in the shower, this may not be the place for you, as the shower is visible from other parts of the apartment. Not an issue for us old married folks! The furniture and fixtures felt higher quality, and the apartment was very clean. The lovely owner was also very pleasant and helpful when we struggled to lock the door on our way out. Overall, I would definitely stay here again on a future trip to Utrecht. The apartment was centrally located, within easy walking distance of the main attractions, and about a 15-minute walk from the train station.

Because the apartment is located in one of the canal-level wharf cellars, it can be a bit humid. There is a dehumidifier, which we needed to empty a few times during our stay. Even with the humidity, however, the apartment did not smell musty. There are also a number of steep steps from street level down to canal level, so this is something to keep in mind if you may have difficulty carrying luggage up or down stairs.
