A beautiful accomodation in a fantastic location. Elegant and old-school design meets modern functionality (but there is no elevator). A peaceful location, but only a 5 min walk from Chatswood Station where life (food, shops, people) are bursting at its seams! The breakfast buffet and space were also lovely. Would 100% recommend to others for a peaceful, boutique hotel experience.

Outside of check-in/out times, there are no staff present and only a ph number for assistance. When calling this number from your own phone, if from a non-Aus number, the Aus 0061 (country code) then the displayed number (but MINUS the first 0) is required - otherwise the number is invalid. For international travellers, this info may be useful to know/to be displayed. Housekeeping was not consistent - it came on the first day, that was it. The room's floors (both carpet and tile) could've been cleaner. I wish there were doormats for each room.

The location is the biggest highlight of this hotel. It’s within an easy 10-minute walk to Chatswood Station, Westfield, the markets, and plenty of great cafés and restaurants, making it very convenient. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet, and the bed provided a good night’s sleep.

For a room costing over $200 per night, I expected a few more thoughtful amenities, such as complimentary bottled water, but none was provided. The in-room coffee machine also wasn’t working, and there were no milk pods available. As someone who drinks coffee with milk, that was quite disappointing. I also wouldn’t recommend paying extra for the continental breakfast. It was very basic and didn’t offer much variety. It consisted mainly of sliced bread for toasting, jam, pastries, cereal, yogurt, fruit, milk, and coffee. There were no protein options such as cheese, ham, or even boiled eggs, which made it feel poor value for the price. Combined with the average quality of the pastries, I’d recommend skipping the breakfast and visiting one of the many excellent cafés nearby instead. Finally, I booked the upgraded room with the large balcony, but apart from the balcony itself, the room was essentially the same size as the standard room. Unless you specifically plan to use the balcony, I don’t think the upgrade is worth the extra cost.
