A little bit rundown, but it does the job

Room rate of £31 a night. The bathroom had a nice shower and good tile and flooring. Room decor was nice new flooring, wallpaper, paint. The furniture was basic but new and in good condition. Mattress comfortable and nice bed linens. USB ports in the room. Kettle, tea, sugar and milk pods in the room. New flooring and carpeting being installed in common areas. New basic lobby furniture. The location was convenient..

Closed off fire escape. Only one staircase in case of fire to the second way out. Probably not legal. Staff were hard to find or get support. There is a phone number and WhatsApp on a sign at the closed reception desk but this information wasn't in the greeting email with door codes. Didn't have hot enough water on last morning for showers. Otherwise hot water wasn't an issue. The TV remote didn't work despite getting new batteries. TV was fine and worked once the manual control on the back was located. Wall sconces didn't work for three days until I found the switch in the wall next to the heater unit just above the baseboards that controlled power to the lights. Fortunately didn't really need the heater but controls not intuitive and would have been annoying if the heat was needed. No bath mat had to find someone to switch out 3 day used towels for new towels and get a bath mat. Staff alluded to being charged to get fresh towel exchange but wasn't charged extra. Had to request a hair dryer twice but never received it a second time. Wall sconces lose on the wall as was the loo roll holder in the bathroom. Bathroom mirror mounted to low it was only chest high I'm 188cm mirror probably 130cm.
