What Christos has built at Aptera is truly extraordinary. The place has a very special vibe and energy, and I absolutely loved the care, attention and wonderful treatment that Christos and his staff offer to their guests. You immediately get that feeling of being genuinely welcomed and taken care of, by everyone there. The hotel offers good value for money, but what makes it really special goes far beyond that. I haven’t found another terrace in the area with the same incredible vibe and energy - there is something about the atmosphere that makes you want to spend your time there - in one week, I had eaten there every day, most days twice a day. You can really feel how carefully everything has been selected: from the food and the fresh, high-quality ingredients, to the way the terrace is set, the house wine, the amazing dessert on the house and, maybe most importantly, the people he works with. Elena and the sweet young man, whose name unfortunately I didn’t get, treated us with so much care and warmth. All of these details together create an incredible atmosphere and experience that goes far beyond simply staying at a hotel. The room was clean and had all the essentials, with an incredible sea view and a terrace that gave me some amazing sunrises. They also offer free sunbeds for the hotel guests. A huge thank you to Christos and his wonderful team for everything. I sincerely hope he gets to have a long and happy life and continues bringing this kind of happiness to as many people as possible. ❤️

As a suggestion, it would have been great to have a small coffee machine in the room, for the very early birds that wake up at 5 am :) Also, maybe some mattresses for the sunbeds. But the experience was still wonderful, these are just some suggestions.

Great location.

The hotel is very dated. The rooms could do with an upgrade. Also would be nice to have a kettle for tea and coffee.
