If you are a tourist, this is not the place for you.
The location is nice, small town with beautiful houses and gardens. Right at the river bank, which is a nice place for a walk. Most important places can be reached via public transport. Using Uber or taxi is also not too expensive.
There is a big grocery store a small walk away.
However ...
If you approach this listing with the wrong presumptions, you will be disappointed!
This place is NOT for tourists. It is actually an accommodation for workers. So, if you expect a hotel quality, not here. No soap, no towels, no detergent. There is bed linen, tho.
There are hotels nearby, so if you are a tourist, better go there. The prices are similar.
I can confirm most of the previous reviews and pictures:
- the sink still does not work. That is several months already ...
- the shower is as on the reviewers' pictures, not fixed. Also for months ...
- the lights in the bathroom are not working. Instead, they put a floor standing lamp. Not sure if this is safe in a humid environment.
Basicly, the listing is deceiving in many things:
- it says it is located in Rösrath. No, it is located in Porz. That is about 15 kilometers difference. If possible, get the address before you arrive, otherwise you risk additional expenses for transport.
- it says it has a balcony and a terrace. No, there is none. By the way, most houses around also do not have.
- it says it has a garden view. No, it has a street view on one side and the roof of the next house on the other side. On the opposite side of the street there is a garden, if that counts ...
- it says it has a kitchen. No. It has a small kitchenette in the staircase, with a microwave, a kettle, some glasses, dishes and cutlery and a table on which barely three people can sit. The accommodation is for six persons. There are no other chairs and tables.
- it says it has a washing machine. No, there isn't. There is not even a space for one.
- it says it has an air conditioning. Well, it has a heating, but if you expect something to cool the air, it has not. Is the heating working, I do not know.
- it says it has a TV. It has.
I suppose, the address and pictures in the listing could be from another property, but they would not accommodate you there .... Or, they want to manage several properties through one listing ...

Dear Booking.com Customer Support,
I am writing to make a formal complaint regarding my reservation at Monteurwohnung Köln Rösrath.
I was travelling from Norway with my family, and we had planned our trip carefully around an important wedding that we were supposed to attend. However, only approximately two hours before our expected arrival, the person responsible for the accommodation informed us that the property was not ready and that we needed to cancel the reservation.
We had already travelled a long distance from Norway and were relying on this accommodation. We were put in a very difficult and stressful situation at the last minute. We had no choice but to find alternative accommodation and arrange additional transportation, which resulted in significant unexpected expenses.
The situation caused serious disruption to our plans. Due to the last-minute cancellation and the time it took to arrange alternative accommodation and transportation, we were delayed and unfortunately were unable to attend the wedding as planned.
Furthermore, the person we had been communicating with regarding the accommodation told us not to contact him again. This made the situation even more difficult, as we were left without proper assistance or a reasonable solution at the time we needed it most.
I believe this matter should be investigated, as the accommodation was not available as promised and we were informed only shortly before arrival. I therefore request that Booking.com formally review this case and provide appropriate compensation for the additional transportation costs and other expenses we incurred as a direct result of this situation.
I am prepared to provide evidence, including our booking details, communication with the accommodation provider, and receipts for the additional expenses.
I look forward to your prompt response and a fair resolution to this matter.

Bajo precio, mala calidad.
Es la opción más barata que encontré. Tal vez por eso el servicio es bastante malo. La foto que muestra no es real no corresponde a lo que ofertan en booking.
Todo sucio, sin papel para el baño, en cada cuarto solo funciona una luz, las demás luces están fundidas o sin foco. Se le solicitaron cosas al anfitrión y no contestó. La TV no enciende. La cocina no tiene mesa. En general no estaba limpia la vivienda.
