Welcome to your modern mountain retreat in north Lake Tahoe. Perched among the pine trees of Tahoe Donner in Truckee, this gem is your perfect getaway. The stylish four-bedroom, 2,700 square foot home features an open concept Great Room, spacious design, curated art throughout, vaulted ceiling, and large redwood deck with private 3-person hot tub and bbq. On-site parking available for up to 5 cars.
Perfect for entertaining family and friends, the house has a deluxe chef's kitchen, complete with integrated Sub-Zero refrigerator, 6-burner Wolf professional range, Miele dishwasher, Wolf wall oven and steamer, solid oak cabinets, and counter-seating for 4. All bedrooms and living spaces have heated floors to keep your toes toasty in Winter, with separate zoned thermostats.
The house backs into a meadow of pine trees with loads of open space, sledding and snow play in the Winter, with large windows throughout, offering stunning views into a sliver of the great Tahoe National Forest. Savor the outdoors on the spacious redwood deck, private hot tub, ping pong table, foosball table, and gas BBQ grill. The resorts of Northstar, Squaw, Tahoe Donner, and Sugar Bowl are minutes away.
Location: The house sits on a quiet street in Tahoe Donner, and backs into an open meadow of pine trees. It's conveniently located next to Tahoe Donner's many amenities. Nearby downtown Truckee is home to countless restaurants, bars and small-town charm.
Relax apres ski in the expansive Great Room with sunny, south-facing views. Stay warm in the Caldera hot tub on the redwood deck. Dine at the extra long French Oak dining table, with seating for 10. After dinner, savor a drink by the Quadra-Fire EPA Certified wood burning fireplace, a game of foosball, table tennis, or board games aplenty. Enjoy the large flat-screen smart TV in the great room or in the kid-friendly family room upstairs. This house was great and only a few minutes to Donner Ski Resort.
We stayed here with a family friend and their kids and enjoyed the well stocked kitchen for all food prep and cooking needs.
The house has everything including games to help occupy the kids, hot tub, sleds, and large garage for indoor parking.
Highly recommend this property.

Great location for our three generations get away. Spacious home with great common spaces and activities for all (games, trampoline, jacuzzi, reading nook, hiking etc). We all want to come back next summer!

Overall our family had a great time during our 4 night stay at this property. Highlights from top to bottom...
1. The property owner (Ehab) was responsive and clear in his communications.
2. The house was great...it's larger than the VRBO listing, with some areas (1 room adjacent to the master bedroom on the first floor; the basement locked via key pad adjacent to the garage; the pantry; the master bedroom closet) locked and not accessible to guests. It is situated on a slight hillside which meant that with sufficient snow - which was true during our stay (2 - 3') - the backyard turns into a brilliant bunny slope for sleds (200 - 300' long) right off the back deck. With twin 4 year olds we spent 90% of our discretionary time there.
3. The overall condition of the house was not unexpected for a rental with typical wear and tear (e.g. stains on couch, scratches on stove, cracked corner beads, thermostat loose on wall, tile/grout issues in the master bath), however the house is appointed well overall (as described) notwithstanding the cheap paper products highlighted by a previous reviewer. There was also an issue with the hotub, where it tripped due to low water. This is likely attributable to the previous renter having too many people in the tub resulting in overspill, following which the water level was too low for the filters to run. We added 10 gallons and the issue was resolved, and Ehab had the tub serviced the following day. Ideally this serviced would have occurred before our stay. The home's "smart" features were nice; we specifically enjoyed the ubiquitous in ceiling speakers (connected to the Google Hub), Apple TV and radiant floor heating (which we now want in our home!).
4. Cleanliness could be improved. Floors were cursorily cleaned but remained dirty as evidenced by bottom of socks and crumbs at the baseboards in the kitchen. Our kids slept in the room with the two day beds which appears commonly occupied by a cat(s) as there was ample cat fur on the day beds and bean bags. The upstairs bath was visibly dirty on the shower grout with some white/yellow growth.
So, in summary, lots of feedback for the benefit of future renters and in the spirit of improvement. Always best (for all) for expectations to be aligned. At the end of the day, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend Ehab's property for the very reasonable price point.
