The chalet was lovingly renovated from the ground up in 2022 using high-quality natural materials and furnished to the highest standards.

The “Kammerkör” apartment in Chalet Viol is approximately 60 square meters in size, located on the first floor, and features a beautiful, spacious terrace with direct access to the garden and sunshine all day long. The living-dining room faces south and west and, thanks to its large windows, offers a magnificent panoramic view of the Kaiser Mountains. The “Kammerkör” apartment features a beautiful, bright living room with an open-concept kitchen, a wood-burning stove, and a cozy sofa area (including a sleeper sofa), as well as a bedroom with a box-spring bed (1.80 m), a bathroom with a sauna, a walk-in rain shower, and a separate toilet—perfect for 2 to 4 people. In total, Chalet Viol has 2 electric vehicle charging stations that guests can use for a separate fee, as well as a separate, lockable garden shed with e-bike charging stations. Each of our 3 apartments also has its own basement storage area for additional equipment or luggage that isn’t needed during your stay. The vacation rental includes a parking space in front of the house.
Upon request and subject to availability, the “Winklmoos” and “Kammerkör” apartments can also be connected via a connecting door to form one large apartment of approximately 110 m². This provides space for 4–6 people. Please feel free to contact us if needed, and we’ll check the availability of both apartments for your requested dates.
Reit im Winkl: A Climatic Health Resort According to Wikipedia, the designation “climatic health resort” is awarded to “locations whose air and climate, according to an expert assessment, possess qualities that are beneficial for relaxation and health.”" Reit im Winkl was designated a health resort in 1956 and has consistently met the criteria for this designation through its ongoing efforts ever since. One key factor is its high elevation, which ensures that summer heat is moderate and nights remain pleasantly cool. The town is surrounded by extensive mountain forests of the Chiemgau Alps and, in terms of its general climate, belongs to the “Bavarian Alps” climate region. The character of the weather is largely determined by the local conditions—that is, by the influence of the mountain ranges and valleys on weather patterns. In the summer, Reit im Winkl is the perfect place for long hikes and walks. But mountain bikers, golfers, and tennis players will also find plenty to enjoy. We renovated Chalet Viol with great attention to detail in 2022/2023 and rebuilt it using high-quality natural materials. Sustainability is very important to us, which is why we heat the chalet with natural heat and provide our guests with two electric car charging stations, as well as charging options for e-bikes in a lockable garden shed. The entire house is equipped with a fresh-air system, ensuring that the air in the rooms is always fresh and comfortably tempered. We hope you’ll feel right at home with us.
