Welcome to our Kai La House (Ocean Day) at the Mauna Kea Resort in Wai'ula'ula'. Ocean Day is exactly what you will experience here with your days spent soaking up the fabulous ocean views while relaxing in the privacy of your own villa. With fully retractable sliding glass doors, you will make the most of Hawaii’s indoor/outdoor lifestyle.
Brand new, beautifully appointed with top of the line tropical furnishings and state-of-the-art Wolf, Sub Zero & Fisher & Paykel appliances in a fully stocked chef's kitchen, is a vacationer’s and chef’s dream. Choose from two sets of dinnerware, including durable melamine dishes for carefree outdoor dining! There is also a built in covered outdoor BBQ to grill and enjoy your meals on the fully furnished lanai.
This one level villa (no stairs!) makes the Kai La House the perfect Hawaiian retreat for those vacationing with small children or grandparents. There is plenty of seating indoors and out. Also, the home is fully air-conditioned with three separate zones for maximum comfort.
A private backyard, includes your own personal saline pool and oversized saline Jacuzzi that overlooks the ocean and the natural landscape of Hawaii's Big Island. You will surely enjoy this while listening to the sounds of the pool’s waterfall and enjoying the spectacular sunset views!
Three bedrooms provide sleeping for up to 8! There are two master suites and a third bedroom with two queens, each with full bathrooms and walk in closets. The Kai La House is a great getaway for vacationing couples, who enjoy spending time together but also value their own space.

If you like watching the big game or enjoying movies after your day at the ocean or playing golf, the main living room has an 80 inch OLED television with sonos surround sound and each bedroom is equipped with 55 inch OLED television.
Enhance your vacation with optional add-on access to two world class hotels, the Marriott luxury collection Mauna Kea and the Westin Hapuna Beach resorts, and the resorts will welcome you as if you were a checked in guest. You will enjoy the amenities of discounted golf fees, Seaside Tennis Club play, a hotel account to charge anywhere within any of the multiple restaurants and sundry shops. Pool and beach side service with lounge chairs and towels are provided. The exclusive adult pool overlooking the grand pool at the Hapuna is surely something to check out! We had an absolutely wonderful stay and truly felt at home from the moment we arrived. We were visiting for our son’s graduation from HPA and the property truly felt like our home away from home. Everything was thoughtfully designed for people who genuinely enjoy spending time together.The beds, sheets, and incredibly soft towels made every night feel like a high-end resort experience. The open-concept living room with the disappearing wall created an amazing indoor-outdoor flow that we used constantly, and the kitchen and BBQ area were beautifully appointed and exceptionally functional.One of our favorite discoveries was the neighborhood infinity pool and gym, which also served as the site for our son’s graduation party. We loved exploring the restaurants throughout the resort. Manta’s seared ahi tuna was truly unforgettable. What stood out most, though, was the feeling that no matter what adventure we went on during the day, we always had an incredibly comfortable place to return to at night. That feeling became the foundation of the entire vacation.The small details elevated everything: bedside charging ports, excellent WiFi, Sonos sound system, powerful AC, outdoor showers, a huge refrigerator, beautiful stemware, cloth napkins, sharp kitchen knives — all of it added up to a home that felt cared for and exceptionally well-appointed . Our host was the best. She was always a text away and super helpful whenever we needed anything. My take - best VRBO to date

We had an amazing stay at Mauna Kea Waiulaula Villa 329 and couldn’t have been happier with the experience. The home is beautifully furnished with upscale finishes and an incredible ocean view that we enjoyed every day. The location is fantastic, quiet and private, yet super convenient with easy access to the Westin and nearby resort amenities.The kitchen was very well stocked with tons of amenities, which made cooking and spending time at the villa easy and enjoyable. Everything felt thoughtfully set up, comfortable, and welcoming, truly a place you can settle into and relax.Donna was an incredible host; friendly, responsive, and helpful from start to finish. She made the entire stay seamless and stress-free.We loved our time here and would absolutely stay again. Highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a beautiful, well-located place at Mauna Kea.

The kitchen had everything we’d wanted and so much room for our family to relax and spend a long holiday together. I highly recommend this say for a relaxing trip especially with resort access for all the additional amenities.

Home was as pictured in the photos. Kitchen had top of the line appliances and was well stocked for at home meals. We spent most of the time outdoors on the lanai and in the pool/hot tub, as well as at the beach and pool at the Mauna Lani. Only downside was Internet was unstable for work, TV.
