My family of six, all adults, stayed there for four nights in July 2026. The pictures made it seem much bigger and the description made it so appealing. The cabin wasn’t as clean as expected. It was dusty and sticky. There were lots of things unfinished or needing fixed. The bedrooms were small but they did their purpose. There wasn’t any trash cans. One room never had any nightstands. One bathroom we quit using as we found standing water in a bedroom from the shower leaking. There wasn’t any trash can in it either. The shower smelled musty also. Both bathrooms had a smell to it. There were six towels but we asked for more and got them but still wasn’t enough. The cabin was dusty. The floors were sticky in some places. There were moths and bugs as the doors weren’t sealed properly. Some were dead and some were alive. It needs a good cleaning and things need improvement. The loft was on the warm side but it cooled off ok. We don’t know if all this is normal but we weren’t expecting it like that. Once when we got back to the cabin we couldn’t get in due to the key pad battery being dead. I called Jared and he was there in ten minutes. He was helpful if we asked and very friendly. The cabin did its purpose and we are thankful for that. There was a pool table and we did enjoy that also. There is a nice fire pit outside and we saw deer every night. It was in a pretty location about a mile off the highway and five minutes from Custer.

This is a nice property. The pillows and beds could use a update to be more comfortable. The amenities were good. Some were a little outdated but in workable order and without problems.

Overall okay. The bathroom faucet needs to be fixed as it sprays diagonally & onto floor, possible safety issue. The overall water temp is a little too low for a warm shower. Otherwise its a nice location and has the basic essentials for a family of 5.
