This is the 2nd time with stayed in an apparent in Ryedale House and I can honestly say from start to finish the customer service from Stays York is fantastic. It’s clear and confirms everything you need to know about your stay including arrival and leaving instructions. I had reason to contact them prior to the stay and they respond quickly and don’t make you feel like you’re bothering them.
The apartment itself was lovely, clean and very spacious. The outlook was great overlooking the river and at Clifford’s Tower. Due to the lovely weather and the apartment not having any lightweight nets/curtains at the windows, in the main living area, you couldn’t block out the sun at all and it made the apartment very hot. This coupled with the main window being broken, it was difficult to cool it down. This is only a very small criticism but wouldn’t stop me staying there again, I would just considered the time of year.
In terms of location, you couldn’t be more central. A 2 minute walk into the city, close to one of the wall entrances and surrounded by lots of lovely restaurants.
Overall fantastic and highly recommended

Fantastic apartment in an ideal city centre location. Good communication from Stays York. A few minor problems on arrival and during our stay. The key fob for the automatic gate didn’t work so we had to contact the emergency out of hours support to gain access to the building car park. Luckily another resident let us into the car park after a wait of half an hour. Once in the apartment the quality and facilities was brilliant. We were made aware that the large sliding kitchen window was broken but that wasn’t an issue. Netflix wouldn’t work on the TV and there was a pungent odour coming out of one of the shower drains. The other 2 bathrooms were fine so this wasn’t a problem.

Three of us stayed for two nights in mid December. The apartment is well equipped, very large, comfortable with outstanding views. Ryedale house is a great location for York with secure parking. No noise at all from outside, have to say excellent.
Only issue was on arrival couldn't access the car park due to the provided car park fob not working. Caused a little problem however Dawn on the reception desk sorted our problem and gained us access.
Shower in second bedroom en suite was too hot and unable to change temperature. Not a major problem as there are three bathrooms.
When we come to York again would definitely stay here again.

Location was amazing with a great view from all rooms. Underfloor heating was good This apartment was let down by a few maintenance issues the bathrooms 2 out of 3 not able to use due to extremely hot temperatures that could not be turned down
We all had to share which was not ideal as en-suite. A broken window door that could not be open The beds we all found uncomfortable and didn’t have great nights sleep in both rooms. The sofa had a couple of large stains on it and needed a good clean
We would not return to this apartment
