The Space:

Perfectly named, Heart of SoHa puts you right where you want to be—just two blocks from downtown South Haven and five blocks from South Beach and the iconic lighthouse. Whether you're planning a weeklong escape or a quick weekend retreat, this location makes it easy to explore, unwind, and enjoy everything South Haven has to offer. And best of all? It's pet friendly, so even your four-legged family members can get in on the adventure.

This charming English bungalow blends timeless character with modern convenience. Original hardwood floors, vintage glass doorknobs, arched doorways, and rich wood trim give the home its classic appeal, while thoughtful updates throughout ensure a stay that’s as comfortable as it is welcoming—for everyone in your group, paws included.

Start your morning in the kitchen, with sunlight streaming in, coffee brewing, and the first sleepy footsteps (or tail wags) padding in for breakfast. Fully equipped and functional, the space is perfect for everything from family-sized pancake stacks to grab-and-go beach snacks. A convenient pass-through to the dining room keeps the conversation flowing, even when you're stirring a pot on the stove. And even when meals aren't the main event, this remains the daily gathering spot—perfect for planning the day's adventures or chatting over a mid-afternoon treat.

In the dining room, the day comes together—meals are shared, board games are played, and stories stretch long past dinner. Whether you're savoring fresh finds from the farmers market or strategizing your next beach day, this space invites connection.

After a day of exploring, the living room is where everyone naturally winds down. Sink into the oversized sofa with a good book, a glass of wine, or just the company you came with. Pets included, this is a room made for shared moments, spontaneous naps, and a little well-earned downtime.

When it’s time to turn in, Heart of SoHa offers plenty of space for everyone to recharge. The main level features two cozy bedrooms and a full bath, just steps from the kitchen and living areas—ideal for early risers or those who prefer to stay close to the heart of the home. Upstairs, two additional bedrooms and another full bath provide a little extra separation, perfect for kids, couples, or anyone looking for a bit of privacy. Sloped ceilings and charming nooks give the upstairs a tucked-away, peaceful vibe that feels like a retreat of its own.

The lower level adds even more flexibility, featuring a fifth bedroom, full bathroom, and a second living area made for movie nights, game marathons, or giving teens and night owls their own space to unwind. Whether you're traveling with extended family or a group of friends, this layout ensures everyone has room to spread out without missing a beat.

And when you're ready to get out and explore, you're already in the middle of it all. Stroll the sidewalks to the beach, the bustling farmers market, downtown shops, or the scenic riverfront. Hop on your bikes to cruise through town, pedal over to the Michigan Maritime Museum, or ride the Kal-Haven and Van Buren trails. Prefer to explore by water? Paddleboards, kayaks, and nearby river launches make it easy to drift along the Black River or head out onto the open water of Lake Michigan.

Where charm, comfort, and location all come together, Heart of SoHa makes it easy to feel at home—two feet, four paws, and all.
