Snuggle inside the cottage beside the gas fireplace/stove on the comfortable love seat.
Enjoy beautiful spring & fall wildflower walks along the quiet roadside, along wooded paths and streams or on abundant nearby hiking trails.
Paddle along the lakeshore or into pristine rivers with a variety of aquatic & woodland animals.
Watch for eagles, blue heron, loons and other colorful birds.
OR: enjoy the many museums, antique shops, amusement areas, cruises and boutiques that are open from Memorial Day to Columbus Day.

It's Saturday and to our dismay
We must take leave from Cottage Biscay
It's been a week of non-stop fun,
Biking, boating and lying in the sun!
Our hosts Karl & Mary were simply great
And our kids enjoyed staying up late!
We'll miss the lonely cry of the loon
And the warm pond that beckoned -
morning night and noon!
Even as we load up the car,
We watch the animals, Sandy and Star.
As we close up the cottage and shut the door
We can't wait to come back in 2004!

Beautiful location; Clean, comfortable cottage. Fully equipped kitchen. Mary is an excellent host going above and beyond to make sure our stay was enjoyable, She offered alot of information about the area and great suggestions of things to do.

Just what I wanted from a quick unplanned trip to a lake in Maine near Damariscotta.

This camp is well stocked and comfortable with a large yard extending through the trees down to a nice waterfront on Biscay pond. Part of the expansive yard is open with a nice fire pit while another part is shaded with large trees down to the lakeside. The camp itself is very cozy with a nice open kitchen, a front deck great for enjoying the lake view and a nice enclosed side porch with comfortable furnishings. The large master bedroom is stunning with an open beamed cathedral ceiling and a large bank of windows overlooking the lake. The smaller bedroom is cozy and comfortable. The camp sits back from the lake but the lakeside has chairs for sitting and a small dock and float. We were there in the cooler fall so we did not swim, but the lake looks clear and inviting.
We love the mid-coast area of Maine and this location is perfect. Near-by Damariscotta has several very good restaurants and shops to explore. It is close to our favorite lobster wharf in Round Pond and an easy drive to other classic Maine coastal locations (i.e. Pemaquid, Boothbay Harbor, etc.) . We return to Maine every year, either summer or fall, and would return here again when we don’t have a larger extended family group with us.
And yes, the sunsets across the lake are stunning.

Sounds of loons and nighttime owls, even indoors as well as over dinner on the deck. We rented kayaks which we could put in right there and paddle either direction on the beautiful pond, away from tourist sounds. This peninsula, the Pemaquid, is an ideal location, just 1-1/4 hrs from the Portland Airport, and a world apart, in lovely lobster-coves Maine. Mary Berger, your hostess is The Best, and you ‘ll love everything about her and this rental house.
