With Snow Summit ski resort only a stroll away, this serene cabin nestled amongst fragrant pines offers a dreamlike setting for your idyllic escape to Big Bear. The interior is open space living at it's finest, with soaring high ceilings, stone wall accents, and generous windows that frame the perfect view of snow falling outside. As the sun rises, head to the veranda and breathe in the crisp mountain air with your cup of freshly brewed coffee, then continue the festivities outdoors with an apres-ski BBQ feast or stargazing from the steamy hot tub. The cozy living area provides a haven after a day on the slopes with plush sofas and a fireplace to settle in for a movie or game night with your crew!
In the summer, go for a bike ride around beautiful Big Bear. In the winter, the slopes are at your fingertips, with the main ski lift only 6 houses away!

- This home allows pets for a fee. If undisclosed pets are brought into the home without AvantStay's approval there is a fine of $500 per pet.
- Please note that we do not provide firewood, so you will want to bring your own.
- This home does not have AC.
- This home can accommodate 8 people but a maximum of 7 adults.
- Please note, all persons (including infants, children and visitors) at the home are counted towards the total occupancy of the home. Guests cannot exceed the permitted occupancy at any time.
- No amplified sound is permitted outside at any time.
- Indoor sound cannot be loud enough to be audible at the property line.
- Use of outdoor spas and other outdoor activities are prohibited from 10pm - 7am
- Guests are responsible for disposing of trash at the local dumpsites in accordance with the City of Big Bear policy. Charges may apply if left on the property.
- This Jackhorn home's backyard is semi-private and is shared with the Jumper Home.
- Bedroom 3 is the accessway to the back deck.
- AvantStay plows and clears the driveway and one pathway to the front door. We provide shovels for guests to use should they wish to clear paths on any other part of the property.
Parking Details:
3 vehicles can park in the driveway.
No street parking.
This home comes with a pack n' play travel crib and a high chair available.

You will be asked to sign a Big Bear Good Neighbor Policy prior to your stay.
This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs.
As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.
Events or parties are not allowed without prior written approval and an additional fee. Any unauthorized parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed. Please inquire for more information about our event policies and fees.
There is nothing more important to us at AvantStay than the health, safety, and experience of our guests & staff. We've enhanced our cleaning and sanitation protocols and are taking extra care to disinfect all surfaces between reservations with hospital-grade disinfecting solutions.
As a reminder, we do work with 3rd party vendors to maintain the property, and although we adhere to the strictest CDC guidelines and advise all contractors to wear PPE equipment, we can not always enforce. We strongly advise guests to please deny access if any vendors fail to meet and adhere to these standards.
IDs will be requested for verification after booking. All bookings over 30 days require a security deposit.

The host was excellent, and AvantStay is very professional in what they do. The cabin was clean and well maintained, with clear instructions inside for cooking, the fireplace, trash, etc. They also checked in regularly via text and through their app, which was a nice touch.The only downside specific to this cabin is that it hasn’t been remodeled like some of the other listings, so don’t expect brand-new furniture or a trendy interior design. Also the bedroom bed in downstairs is a bit small (queen) and close to kids bunk bed room, so decide who gets that room by drawing lots.:) But that said, it’s extremely close to Snow Valley—literally a 2-minute walk—which made everything incredibly easy for us and the kids.I would definitely recommend this place for a family ski trip. However, if you’re planning a summer stay or a weekend getaway without skiing, I’d probably choose a more modern or “cooler” cabin.

This is an excellent house located really close to the slopes. Our family was very happy with the selection, as we had 2 kids (6 and 5) and it was very convenient to go back to the house in the middle of the day to have lunch and get some rest.The house is very well maintained and very cozy and comfortable. The reasons why I did not give a 5 star rating may seem trivial, but worth mentioning.- not enough knives for 8 people to eat at the same time;- no placemats, so there is a risk of ruining the wooden table;- only one kitchen towel, so it makes it hard to manage cooking and cleaning at the same time;- now, for the most important. The dishwasher needs to be deep cleaned ASAP. The dishes were coming out as dirty as they went in and, when I looked inside, the bottom filter was very dirty, so we ended up hand washing (or rewashing) most of the dishes. Which makes my earlier point of only one kitchen towel a little more relevant.

Overall the stay was great. We had a few hiccups. Needed some kitchen basics and the spa cleaner turned down the temperature of the hot tub. When the teens came back from a day of snowboarding it was cold. The management company was quick to respond but water takes time to heat up. They need to fix the fan in the about the bedroom because in the master, you hear it click all night long if it is left on. We would rent again.

The staff were great. Super helpful and quick to answer my questions. The place itself was pleasant. A few complaints: mattress was terrible, shower pressure was terrible, no hot pads in the kitchen.
