A proposito di questa cottage struttura in affitto

Ours is a late 18th Century Trullo, beautifully restored and furnished in the classic 'Arte Povera' style. We call our Trullo 'Casa Adriatica'.

Nestled in the beautiful Puglia country-side, in the heart of the Itria Valley, the property sits on 2.5 acres of land, with a gate and ample space for parking. Surrounded by olive trees, vineyards and fruit trees, here you will find peace and tranquility to get away from it all (although we do have wifi if you really want to take a peek at your social feed, or e-mails!)

Enjoy your meals 'al-fresco' on the airy patio, taking in the panoramic views of the surrounding towns of Cisternino and Ostuni in the distance; soak in the rays while relaxing on our sun loungers; gaze at the stars in the summer night sky from the rooftop as the evening breeze fans your face.

Whatever you choose to do, Casa Adriatica is the perfect setting for a truly magical romantic getaway, or a relaxing family holiday.

There are 2 bedrooms. The master bedroom comes with a king size bed, while the second bedroom can be set up as either two twin beds, or a queen size bed.

The property is equipped with a full kitchen with dishwasher and a small washing machine in the bathroom for maximum convenience. There is a nice sized TV in the living room with an Apple TV streaming unit, a Smart TV in the main bedroom, a collection of books left by other guests, and of course wi-fi.

Casa Adriatica is located in the heart of the famous Itria Valley, and is minutes away from some of the prettiest towns in southern Italy. Cisternino, voted one of the most beautiful towns in Italy, is around a 10 minute drive, or the magical 'White City' of Ostuni is around 25 minutes away. Martina Franca, famous for its Summer Opera Festival, is also 25 minutes away, and World Heritage site Alberobello, 'City of the Trulli', is an easy 40 minute drive.

Beautiful sandy beaches can be found on either the Adriatic (40 minutes away) or Mediterranean coasts (60-90 minutes depending on which beach you want to get to) and, whether you love nature, history, or both, there are lots of interesting places to visit.

Much of southern Puglia (or Apulia as it is also known) was at one time part of 'Magna Grecia' (Greater Greece) and the historic influence is still visible in some of the small villages surrounding the historic city of Lecce, itself 2000 years old and boasting a beautiful Cathedral. Lecce is around 90 minutes away, and the ceramics centre of Grottaglie, famous for the Rooster design seen on many plates and jugs in the area, is around 30 minutes away.

We have installed the latest in Heat Exchange technology, with individual units in each bedroom, enabling cool comfort during the hot summers, and - together with the built in central heating radiators - warm cozy stays during the colder months. This makes Casa Adriatica a perfect getaway for all seasons!

For stays of 2 weeks or more, we include a weekly clean, including a change of linen and towels, and you can choose from a number of optional extras to welcome you on your arrival, including starter provisions (e.g. milk, bread, water, eggs, etc.) and/or a selection of locally produced foods and wines.

For longer duration stays of 28 nights or more we offer additional discounts, although cleaning and change of linen and towels is by arrangement and at an additional cost.

Our local agents are available 7 days a week in case you need assistance during your stay.

A damage deposit of Euros 150 is authorized but not deducted from your credit card before your stay. In the event of any damages, these will be charged directly to your credit card within a few days after the end of your stay.

Casa Adriatica is located in the beautiful Apulian countryside, and access to and from the Trullo is via a narrow country lane, with stone walls on either side. Guests should therefore be comfortable driving on narrow roads.

Note that, in line with government regulations, our managing agents will collect a local tourism tax from guests upon arrival of 1 euro per day, per guest, for a maximum of 5 days. Children under 12 are exempt.

We had a lovely stay in this beautiful trullo in mid May, which has been carefully and cleverly restored. It does have indoor and outside sitting space whichx, outside the hotter months, means you can be cosy on cooler evenings. It is located in a very private quiet rural area, but still only 10 minutes or so to drive into Cisternino, a very unspoilt but authentic town in the lovely Itera Valley which has a very good selection of restaurants. The location is perfect both to enjoy lovely walks such as along the nearby aqueduct where the wild flowers and flowering Robina trees were just beautiful. Or visit lovely coastal beaches (about half an hour away and almost empty in May), or take longer trips to iconic sites such as Lecce or the Castel Del Monte. The owner, Richard, and the local agent were both easy to contact and quick to respond with any queries. The photos on the Vrbo site are accurate and the Trullo is well equipped. As Richard said, he is trying to equip the Trullo with everything you might need so it was like a home from home. The Wifi works well, so while the trullo is off the beaten track, you can still be in touch with the wider world when you want to be.Very happy to recommend this Trullo and many thanks to Richard and Pierdonarto

This was our first time visiting Pulgia and we found the Trullo tranquil and exactly as represented in the photos. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds comfortable. We also had great access to WIFI and my husband was able to watch the Chicago Cubs try again for the World Series and I was able to attend my Zoom class while sipping brandy in the security of a sweetly restored historic dwelling. The region is magical with landscapes of trulli, vineyards, olive groves. We enjoyed great lunches in neighboring villages with great local wines and helpful people. Many thanks to Richard and his kindness and attention. A car is a must to enjoy the area and it is recommended to use a car that is nimble and a driver able to navigate the countryside.
