Nestled on a private five-acre wooded lot, Cardinal Crest is a 1,750 sq. ft. vacation cabin designed for comfort and relaxation. Just minutes from Canaan Valley Resort, Timberline Mountain, Blackwater Falls, White Grass, Dolly Sods, and more, this rustic retreat is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts and families alike.
Enjoy a sunken living room, vaulted ceilings, spiral staircase, and post-and-beam construction for that true cabin feel. Amenities include flat-screen TVs, cable, electric fireplace, full kitchen, charcoal grill, picnic table, fire pit, hot tub, and window AC units in the living room and upstairs bedroom.
Sleeps 8:
Bed 1: Queen (downstairs)
Bed 2: Queen + Twin (upstairs)
Loft (3rd bedroom): Bunk bed + Twin with trundle (loft access required)
Winter note: 4WD required in winter months.
Located in the Old Timberline Gated Community, guests enjoy access to two lakes, Dolly Sods trail head, Canaan Valley Wildlife trails, and miles of maintained conservancy trails.
Mirror Lake Recreation Area access is included—fishing, canoeing, swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding, and life jackets provided at no extra charge. Cardinal Crest is just 5 miles from Mirror Lake.

It’s a nice place to stay and conveniently close to timberline. Very welcoming, just make sure you are close with the people you’re visiting with. The bunk beds are in a common area loft and one bedroom has louvre doors lacking privacy. Another room has its own bathrooms with loud saloon doors.

Hot tub and lay out were great. Small bathrooms but other than that an excellent stay.

The cabin was spacious and met all expectations. Views were great and even caught some snow before we left. Fire place was cozy and the hot tub was hot lol. Over all great place to stay.
