For equestrian guests, Rainbow’s Edge offers direct trail access and two paddocks that can accommodate up to four horses. Please note: Roads in Leatherwood are narrow and steep. Trailers longer than a two-horse bumper pull or a gooseneck over 20 feet are not recommended. At Rainbow’s Edge, trailers larger than a 3-horse may have difficulty navigating the gravel driveway. Leatherwood is not responsible for any damage incurred.

This home is located in the 4000 acre, Leatherwood Mountain Resort in Ferguson, NC. Our guests are invited to enjoy our Horseback Riding program where you can experience the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains pristine wilderness by Horseback (reservation required). You will have access to miles of hiking trails, mountain streams, stocked fishing pond, community swimming pool, play ground and tennis courts, creek tubing (seasonal), on-site restaurant with active live music & event calendar (guest advised to check hours when planning meals).

Leatherwood Mountains has surveillance or recording devices on the property. Our neighborhood is very safe and our property very secluded. For added peace of mind, we have security cameras by the gated entrance and common areas. Individual properties may also have cameras on the EXTERIOR of homes. Please be assured they are not directed at private areas, hot tub porches etc.
