In the glorious hills of Montespertoli overlooking an ancient Castle, in one of the most beautiful position in the area, a top of a hill, stands the pretty Villa I Leoni, a charming and authentic old manor House that dates back to the XIX century.
On one side it was built on a large tabernacle of 1700 that was removed for the renovation of the villa. It is located in one of the most quiet locations in the area on top of a hill surrounded by a ring of hills around.
The villa has very fast and easy access to Central Florence which stands 20 km away. Due to its position and to the many trees around the villa the place and the interiors are cool, so when you come back from a day trip around the places of Tuscany you can refresh and relax enjoying the peaceful Tuscan countryside. Surrounded by olive groves and vineyards, the villa stands in panoramic position offering a magnificent view of the Tuscan countryside stretching as far as the eye can see.
Away from the city It stands between Florence, Pisa and Sienna, Central place in Tuscany to visit almost its major cities and near many small, quait villages with small roads. The area is also particularly attractive for the glorious blu skies, sun, smell of the country, food, wines and olive oil. You can use the villa like Home Base for day trips to discover all best places in Tuscany.

The 19th-century villa is surrounded by a wide fenced garden with a swimming pool, furnished with sun loungers and sunshades, and barbecue ...equipment, for pleasant meals in the open air. In the past, the small chapel of the nearby monastery of the Calvane nuns stood on the estate. The chapel housed the painting called 'Madonna della Neve' (Our Lady of the Snow), to which the building was dedicated. Numerous panoramic pathways stretch around the villa for guests to stroll or mountain bike on the gentle Tuscan hills. Tennis courts and two riding stables in the neighbourhood.
ACCOMMODATION:
The villa, whose entrance is decorated with two 17th-century statues representing two lions, is divided into six apartments of different size, each one with its kitchen, full bathrooms with shower and all furnished in the typical Tuscan style and it's rented all together. All the apartments are provided with satellite TV and Internet connection and one of them is accessible to disabled people.
There are 9 double and 1 twin bedrooms that from 2019 they boast new beds with very comfortable mattresses 26 cms high and 9 bathrooms (each one with shower, bidet, wc). On the ground floor there is the larger apt. with three independent entrances and easy access to the garden, a very large dining room of 45 sq. meters suitable for 30 people and a large equipped kitchen (25 sq. meters where usually guests cook for all the group) with 5 ring stoves, OVEN, fridge, freezer, dish washer microwave, toaster, coffee maker and kettle. Large private shaded garden with long table and chairs to dine al fresco. Barbecue equipment. private swimming pool.
AIR CONDITIONING IN ALL THE ROOMS.-
The owner lives in a separate part of the villa and every day he is cleaning garden and pool. The privacy of the guests is assured.
Within walking distance (800 meters) there is the little village of Montagnana where you can find the Post Office, a cafe, a good restaurant and a pizzeria; in the area there are some very good restaurants and pizzerias, with local dishes and and we are very glad to suggest you some of them. A supermarket and other shops in Montespertoli 4 km away.

This property was lovely. Amid an olive grove and the rolling hills of Tuscan vineyards. Marco was a great host who made our stay comfortable. The view from the pool was iconic. Each apartment had it’s own personality and the main kitchen was updated and all first class.

We had a party of 15 and this property allowed us to be together when desired and also has separate apartments to fit our group. Very nice pool, super communicative host, and a lovely location in Tuscany. We hired a recommended local chef, Chiara, and she cooked two meals for the entire group. Upon arrival, Nicola welcomed us warmly and was always available when we needed him, either by text or in person. It was very practical to have him close by, as he lives there with his mom. His brother Marco was also available when we needed assistance. He made dinner reservations for us and even received Amazon packages on our behalf, as we were preparing for a family wedding. There is plenty of room to spread out for multiple families, as the home is split up into 6 different apartments, each with their own separate living rooms, kitchens and bathrooms. The main floor has a recently renovated kitchen, which was very nice. The home is centrally located for those that want easy access to Florence, but with the tranquility of the county side. There is a winery and great restaurant all within walking distance or just a short 3 minute car ride. The town of Montespertoli is also worth spending some time in for a half day side trip. One note, we traveled during the month of April and although the days were warm, it did get cool in the evenings, and we had to put the heating on. The pool was available to us, but it’s not heated, but it was nice to sun bathe and enjoy the gorgeous Tuscan countryside views. The home is surrounded by olive trees and vineyards, and the drive is breathtaking. If you’re a group of 15-20, this is a great option!

The villa is a beautiful property with a great deal of potential. The setting is lovely, and we enjoyed our time there overall. However, there were several areas where greater attention to detail would have made a significant difference. Unfortunately, the villa was not as clean as we had expected upon arrival. We also experienced a noticeable presence of ants, spiders, and mosquitoes inside several of the rooms. Routine pest control and a more thorough cleaning process would greatly improve both the comfort and safety of future guests.I would also recommend skipping the optional extra cleaning service. In our experience, it did not provide the value we expected. During our stay, we encountered several mechanical issues throughout the property. The staff was responsive and made an effort to address each concern we reported, which we appreciated. Eventually, we chose not to report additional issues because we didn’t want to continue interrupting our vacation or burdening the staff. One amenity that would have enhanced the experience would be providing pool towels, since guests are encouraged to enjoy the pool. On a very positive note, the owners helped us arrange a caterer during our stay, and that was one of the highlights of our trip. The meal and service were excellent, and we truly appreciated their assistance. With improved maintenance, attention to cleanliness, and a stronger focus on the guest experience, this villa could easily become an outstanding place to stay.
