This gorgeous newly renovated suite has it all! It is large and spacious with a seating area with a chair and pull out sofa, a queen size bed, and ensuite bathroom with glass walk in shower. This dog friendly room comes equipped with a TV, mini fridge, microwave, and coffee station. The room boasts beautiful decor, window treatments, and mini splits. You're dropped right into Newport's beating heart—Fair Street cornering Historic Thames Street, where the action never stops! Dozens of restaurants, buzzing bars, live music, quirky shops, and waterfront energy are steps away. Wander to Bowen's Wharf for sunset cocktails, Bannister's Wharf for people-watching, or nearby gems like Trinity Church and The Black Pearl. Safe, super lively, and packed with coastal charm—festivals, sailing vibes, historic feels all around. Mansions and beaches are a quick 10-min drive, but the walkable downtown scene is so addictive you'll be hooked!
Windward Suites properties are all keyless, and instead use keypad smart locks for all of the doors for both the buildings and units. All guests will get an email the day of their stay with the codes to the doors.
Check-in time is anytime after 3:00 p.m. Check-out time is 11:00 a.m. Please be respectful of these times unless you have contacted us, as we have a cleaning crew who need the time to do a thorough job before and after all of our guests.
There are four off street parking spots with one spot designated per unit. The onsite parking makes it easy for you to park your car and spend most of your time on foot with everything just outside your door.

Unit Three is located on the second floor and is the perfect retreat after a day spent wandering around downtown which is just a stones throw away. The building recently underwent a complete renovation and each unit has beautiful hardwood floors, modern furnishings, window fixtures, and an ensuite bathroom with a large glass walk in shower. When you step into Unit Three you will appreciate its size. Aside from the bed and pullout sofa, the coffee station is in a small nook, and comes fully equipped with everything you could need. The Fair Street location was ideal for our Newport vacation. It was within walking distance of nearly everything we had planned, and the designated off-street parking was a huge convenience. The accommodations were spacious, clean, comfortable, and equipped with all the amenities we needed for our stay. Matt and Keith were excellent hosts, providing detailed instructions and a helpful list of restaurant recommendations.The only drawback was the noise level at times. During our stay, a nearby restaurant’s dumpster was emptied by the trash company at approximately 4:45 a.m. on two occasions. The sound of bottles clanging and the dumpster being dropped was extremely loud and woke us up both times.Additionally, we were staying on the second floor, and a group of four guests arrived a few days into our trip. Noise from doors closing, electronic keypad beeps, footsteps, and conversations carried throughout the house more than we expected. To be fair, this may simply be a characteristic of the building, and other guests may have experienced similar noise from us.That said, the outstanding location, comfort, and overall quality of the property far outweighed these inconveniences. The noise was ultimately easy to overlook given everything else the property offered. However, light sleepers may want to bring earplugs or consider whether the setting is the right fit for them.

Great location. Off street parking is a plus. The only sink was in the bathroom, wish there would’ve been a sink in the kitchenette area. I would have no hesitation using this place again.

You really can’t find a better location, we were able to walk to dinner and shops. The parking was great on site. The neighborhood has many nice streets to walk around. The coffee for the Keurig was very good and there was plenty.We were surprised that the bed was a full, we had expected a queen. The bathroom door was warped so it could not be completely shut. Overall cleanliness was ok, but there was a large stain on the carpet, hair on bathroom floor and hair on the extra pillows. The room was also lacking a trash can with the exception of a very small bathroom trash can.We enjoyed our stay but were disappointed by the items mentioned above.
