Summary:
Mountain Views Overlooking Charlottesville, Only 15 Minutes to Town
The Space:
Escape to the Broadhead Mountain Retreat, a modern home offering rustic charm and quality, located just a short 15-minute drive from Charlottesville yet feeling a world away.
The Space
Step into an open-plan living area where a wall of windows frames breathtaking views of the Piedmont Valley and the Blue Ridge Mountains. On cool evenings, you can gather around the magnificent stone wood-burning fireplace. The view alone is reason enough to stay here.
The living space flows into a chef-ready kitchen, both practical and aesthetically pleasing. With stained wood countertops, a full suite of stainless-steel appliances, and plenty of cabinet space, you'll have everything you need. We provide a standard drip coffee maker, blender, and toaster for your convenience.
Enjoy your meals at the indoor dining table or step out onto the covered deck to dine while taking in the essence of Mother Nature. The home offers two private bedrooms, thoughtfully placed on opposite sides of the home for privacy.
- Master Bedroom: Features a high-end Savy Sleeper queen-sized mattress and a private en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower.
- Second Bedroom: Contains two comfortable twin beds and its own en-suite bathroom with a combination tub/shower.
- Living Room: A queen-sized sleeper sofa provides additional sleeping space.
This retreat sits on over 100 acres of private land, offering the perfect setting to get away from the hustle and bustle. Breathe in the clean mountain air, go for a hike, or take a short drive up from the house to a private overlook with even more stunning views of Charlottesville.
Guest Access
You will have private access to the entire home and its surrounding property. Private parking is available in the driveway. For your convenience, essentials like bed linens and towels are provided, and the property is equipped with central air and heat.
A unique perk of your stay is exclusive access to Common House, a local membership-based social club. This offers you a unique space to work, dine, and engage. Enjoy the co-working space on weekdays, a full-service restaurant, and a rooftop terrace with sweeping city views.
Exclusive Wine Country Experiences
As our guest, you'll receive preferred pricing with Monticello Wine Tour & Coach Co., one of Charlottesville's most highly reviewed luxury transportation and wine tour companies. Discover award-winning wineries, breweries, cideries, and scenic vineyards while your private chauffeur takes care of every detail.
Getting Around
While you'll feel completely secluded, the city limits of Charlottesville are just a short drive away, giving you the best of both worlds.
Important Information: Please note that the last 1-1.5 miles of the road to the property is a winding, unpaved gravel road. This is part of what makes the location so private and peaceful.

Broadhead Mountain Retreat provided the perfect secluded location for our trip. We loved our stay!

My family of three stayed at this property for the Thanksgiving weekend. The property is isolated—a cabin in the beautiful woods—but it was just what we wanted. We enjoyed walks up to the top of the mountain, with its amazing views. The kitchen is well-stocked—more pots, pans, and plates than many of these properties have. We also enjoyed fires in the fireplace. It is about 20 minutes to Charlottesville. It was perfect for us.
