Room for The Family is a spacious, low key Bowentown bach at Waihi Beach with WiFi. This casual bach has plenty of room for an extended family stay or 2 families, with a handy position just moments from the beach!
This 3 storey Bowentown bach includes open plan living downstairs... Wander onto the deck and enjoy the relaxed surrounds, there is ample room for the kids to play while you put your feet up!
Bedroom 1 is located downstairs at this Bowentown accommodation, fitted with a queen bed. On the middle floor, bedroom 2 is fitted with 2 single beds, and bedroom 3 is fitted with a queen bed. Upstairs, bedroom 4 is fitted with a double bed, bedroom 5 is fitted with a queen bed, and bedroom 6 has 2 singles. This is an easy option for 2 families or an extended family group to enjoy a beach break together!
There is a bathroom both upstairs and downstairs to complete the set up at Room for The Family.
Hit the beach an easy stroll away... The outdoor shower is on hand upon your return. A five-minute walk to the ocean (during the summer months you can swim between the flags at Bowentown Beach), safe paddling for young children at Anzac Bay, walking to secluded Shelly Bay, kayaking around the rocks in the harbour, exploring the caves at Cave Bay, fishing in the harbour or the ocean, enjoying excellent coffee and food at the local cafes and restaurants, or just lazing on the front deck.
The back yard is big enough to put up a badminton net and still have room for the kids to run around.

Its a great property this one, and its the second time the family has stayed there. However there are a couple of things that didn't work. The BBQ, one of the burners has completed rusted out. We love BBQing at that property.
The other is the hot water. I think there might be something not working on the hot water cylinder. One day one we had some hot water but on day two, we had no hot water. We had to boil the jug to wash the dishes.
Those are just minor things really, the consensus from the whole family is that we would go back in a heartbeat, we just love going there.

Very convenient for 3 generations of different ages to stay together. Kitchen well equipped, beds comfortable, outside great for play. Being surrounded on all 4 sides by neighbours felt a bit close, otherwise proximity to beach and playground great.

The property was fit for purpose and it was nice that the whole seven of us could be accommodated in the one house.
When we go away usually we are in two separate units so was really good to be all together and with six bedrooms nobody had to share (except the married couples!).

We loved our stay at this classic kiwi-style bach. It was wonderful to find a reasonably-priced place that could fit our large family group, and it was well set up with pretty much everything we needed to enjoy our holiday.
