Lucerne Chalet is one of our more spacious downtown Asheville chalets.
* It has two bedrooms
* one and a half bathrooms
* Cozy up to the gas fireplace in the living room.
* conveniently located just FIVE minutes to eclectic downtown Asheville, the South Slope, the River Arts District, the Blue Ridge Parkway, New Belgium Brewery, the Biltmore Estate, and much more.
Nestled in the treetops, you can gaze at the mountains from the gated porch and stroll through the quiet neighborhood with your dog.
NOTES
1. This property is 1.3 miles from the heart of downtown, but we would recommend transportation since it's not walker-friendly.
2. No grill at the house.
3. ALL mountain roads can be steep and dark at times. They may be daunting to an inexperienced mountain driver. The Lucerne Chalet is located in a quiet mountain subdivision on a circular one-lane road. Although it's a short road with street lights, it is tight, steep, and curvy. Please try to plan your arrival during the daytime if you are intimidated by mountain roads.
4. No smoking, vaping, or candles.
5. Must be at least 25 years old to reserve this property.
DOG RULES
A dog fee applies, plus all applicable taxes. Dog with prior approval. Dogs under 50 lbs. The size and breed of your dog are needed to register them. Please note that you are bringing your dog when making your reservation.
1. No puppies - Dog must be at least ONE YEAR OLD
2. No attack or aggressive breeds of dogs are allowed
3. Must have all shots and flea treatments that are up to date
4. Must always be on a leash and under the control of the owner
5. Must NOT sleep on beds, couches, or chairs
6. You must clean up after your dog and do not flush poop down the toilet
7. A dog fee will be charged for the extra cleaning required
8. Sorry, no cats
We love dogs, and we are happy to host your well-behaved dog.
We are available during your stay to help out if needed because you are not just booking a home to stay in, but a southern mountain hospitality experience.

We really enjoyed our stay. It's a great get away and was just right for two old friends. I wasn't happy about the demand to have damage insurance before I could finish my purchase. I feel this should have been upfront before we chose. All written info we had stated the total price without the damage insurance they insisted on. If I knew this up front I would have felt better about this inaccuracy. I have never come across this in my world travels with Vrbo.My friend is very sensitive to noise so she took the back bed room. I was fine and generally loved the place, but the traffic from the valley below was loud but fine for sleeping- my window was open.As mentioned, this is a one lane both way road a bit daunting at first but you get used to it. Don't drive a new car up there it will be scratched. I loved the place but it's not for everyone. I'd recommend the owner do photos of all the turns to get in so you feel like you are getting to the right location. A difficult to find place in Norway did this with photos at each turn and it made the difference in getting there. It really is magic when you get there and settle in. Give it a chance

Great place! The proximity to downtown is hard to beat, and yet you still get a nature/forest feel while on the property. The home itself is a little tricky to find but otherwise we had an excellent experience. Clean and comfortable and would stay there again.

A wonderful cabin with a great view of the mountains and a very short drive into downtown Asheville! Highly recommend!

Really enjoyed the Chalet. Just a few minor issues . We drove our F 150 up there and it got scratched up a lot with all the low hanging branches. Hard to sleep on your orthopedic mattresses.
