Surf Park House has a truly unique Jacksonville Beach story.
Originally built as an Army barracks at Camp Blanding, this home was moved to Jacksonville Beach by train in 1948. Today it has been completely renovated while still preserving a piece of local history. We hope you enjoy experiencing a little slice of Jacksonville Beach’s past while staying here.
Located just 3 short blocks to the ocean, Surf Park House places you right in the heart of Jacksonville Beach. Walk or bike to the beach, grab coffee, enjoy local restaurants, or meet friends at nearby beach bars. We had a great time! The house was excellent and Heather was amazing! We have a large dog that goes everywhere with us and we loved there was no weight limit for him or mandatory kennel! My husband actually forgot to click that we would be bringing him and I didn't realize until the day before. Got in touch with Heather and she immediately fixed it. Would absolutely go back. Also love the history of the house

The cottage was spotless and cute, however, the beds were so firm it was hard to sleep. The gas grill was filthy and would not start, the ice maker did not work. We could not get the hot water in one of the bathroom vanities working so we just used the one bathroom. Of a six night stay, we stayed only 2, making this rental our most expensive ever! We notified the host we had decided to leave after our short stay and let her know why, knowing that fixing the issues would be important for future guests. Heather stated, after several messages, that she had never had a complaint about the beds but got new foam toppers, added ice trays, stated the hot water was fine and never addressed the gas grill. Heather also stated that if we would have let her know, she would have addressed the issues during our stay. I suggested that having repairs and deliveries during our stay defeats the purpose of being on vacation and that the responsibility of making sure their property is as advertised is on them. Oh well. Would not stay there again because of the way the host corresponded with me, saying the hot water was fine, and the ring of water I saw around the toilet indicating a possible leak was not there and that she had never gotten a complaint before.
