Welcome to our newest Surf Shack! Our recently purchased Surf Shack IV is on Fripp Island in the Fiddlers neighborhood, right off of Tarpon. We are across the street from “Hannah’s Park", on a large, wooded lot with southern front porches, rocking chairs and fans to keep the salty ocean air moving.
Surf Shack IV does not have a rental history but we have had several groups of friends stay to give us feedback so we could provide the best vacation for you and your group....
"We got to stay here a couple of weeks ago, and we miss it badly. The neighborhood is quiet and calm. It was easy to take walks, to ride bikes and to head over to Hannah’s Park, just across the street. This Southern beach house is taking on a great, fun personality, with double rocking chair porches and set under the shade of pine trees and palm trees. Most of the furniture and appliances in the house are brand new. It was very clean, comfortable and relaxing! Coming in off the hot, sandy beach, I loved the AC staying at a consistent temperature throughout the house. I loved that there was plenty of hot water. LOL! I loved the large dining table for all of us to sit around while we ate and played cards. I loved rocking on the porch in the cool night air listening to the night noises and, later, rocking in the early, still mornings watching the deer hanging out in the yard. And, I loved sleeping on cool, fresh sheets and a very comfortable mattress! We hope to return next year!"
Everything in the house has been newly purchased with your best and most comfortable experience in mind. We allow you to have full control over the thermostat during your stay. We have ceiling fans and added some standing fans too. There is also an air purifier to collect allergens.
We sleep 13 in beds with all new mattresses, organic linens, Casper pillows, and ample lighting for reading while you drift off to sleep. Or if TV is your preference, we just added new TV’s in all bedrooms.
We include a Limo golf cart for touring the island, going to dinner or the short ride to your favorite beach access! We have 31 beach accesses and they all have different paths, board walks, and views!
We also include 8 beach bikes, beach chairs, beach towels, and boogie boards. In the large yard, there is a fire pit with Adirondack chairs and a hammock swing. And in the garage you can enjoy a fun game of Ping Pong on our new table with new equipment.
We have an extra refrigerator in the garage, large washer & dryer, place to hose off. We also have a weber charcoal grill and a new gas grill with a burner for you to use.
We include a Hunting Island State Park pass for you to enjoy while renting Surf Shack IV. Climb the lighthouse, walk the “bone yard”, find your favorite shell or our favorite hobby, searching for sharks teeth and other cool fossils.

We had a great time. House was perfect. Kids loved riding the bikes. Golf cart came in very handy each day. Lots of deer for kids to pet. Kathy always responded to our questions immediately. We liked the entire vibe of Fripp Island. Everyone we encountered was warm and friendly. We extended our stay we enjoyed it so much. We will return next year, God willing.

First off, the host is exceptional! We had a couple of bumps in the road with our club cards and golf cart, which were fixed immediately the next day! Our family of 11 enjoyed this Surf Shack so much! The outdoor washing stations are great and I think the mattresses are the best we have ever slept on for a vacation. They come with a lot of amenities for the beach down in the garage. The home is a little tight for having 5 very small kids but overall we made it work, and the kitchen is tight however we loved finally having a dining table long enough to seat all 11 of us for meals! Thank you so much for another great summer on Fripp.

Perfect long weekend stay for my daughter’s sweet 16! It was a complete washout of a rainy weekend, so there was a lot of time spent in the house, but it was the perfect house for lounging. The best part was the “fun room”which had enough sleeping for the 8 girls. The dining table was huge and they spent a lot of time there just hanging out. The campfire set up was outstanding and so beautiful with all the flowers and trees and deer. Ping pong was a huge hit, and having the golf cart and bikes was tremendous. Another amazing perk was allThe towels, which was one of my worries. Just as all the other reviews kinda scared me with this, yes the kitchen was very small, but it was well equipped and the table was nearby to help with meal prep, so don’t let that bother you. The host manager was reachable on a Sunday morning, and helped us out with a personal issue, which was 100% the icing on the cake so my daughter was able to have her sweet 16 beach catered picnic. This is my 3rd stay on Fripp, and this was my favorite house, and we will return to this exact spot. The rockers on the front porch were used nonstop, and the girls loved having their own balcony. Decor was adorable. Only regret was purchasing 10 amenity cards because we didn’t use them once because of the rain. That hurt, but I’ll take it considering my daughter had the best weekend ever, and my husband and I were able to enjoy while supervising. Highly recommend!!!

This was our 3rd family visit to Fripp. This place did not disappoint. Kathy was super helpful and extremely responsive. The house had plenty of space and the location was phenomenal!! The Fiddlers Cove neighborhood is quiet and perfect. The crab dock and close park makes it a great spot for families. The fire pit was led to an unexpected great night. We will be back!!
