Summary:
Spread out in a renovated 5-bedroom home in Port Clinton — room for 10, a short walk from Lake Erie, downtown, and the parks. It's a natural home base for the islands: hop the Put-in-Bay and Kelleys Island ferries, day-trip to Cedar Point, then come back to a big modern kitchen, a private backyard, and three full baths so no one's waiting. Bring the whole family (and up to 4 dogs) — it's built for groups, and easy lake-country weekends.

🛋 Living Area Open, modern living room with comfortable seating, a smart TV (sign in with your own streaming accounts), and a game console. Board games and a big dining table make it easy for a group to spread out — meals, movies, and game night all in one place.
🍳 Kitchen & Dining Fully equipped kitchen with full-size stainless Whirlpool appliances (stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher), a drip coffee maker and a Keurig, plus cookware, wine glasses, a blender, and a toaster. A large dining table seats the whole group; a smaller kitchen table is perfect for coffee or a puzzle.

🔑 The entire home and yard are yours.
Interaction with Guests:
Before check-in. Like most professionally managed homes, we ask every guest to complete a quick pre-arrival step through our booking system: a STRA, ID verification, and a damage protection selection. It takes a few minutes and helps us keep the home safe and well cared for.
Damage protection (required, processed before arrival). Choose either a $400 refundable security deposit — a pre-authorized hold, not a charge, released after a damage-free inspection — or a non-refundable $40 damage waiver covering accidental damage beyond normal wear and tear.
Check-in & check-out. Check-in after 4 PM, check-out by 11 AM. Early check-in or late check-out can sometimes be accommodated for a small fee — just message us before your stay and we'll do our best.
House rules at a glance. No parties or events (immediate removal, no refund). Max 10 guests; the person booking must be 21+ and stay on site. Quiet hours 10 PM–8 AM, monitored by a decibel reader (sound levels only) — excessive noise may incur a $500 fine. No smoking indoors ($500 fine); smoking permitted outside. No confetti, glitter, water beads, balloons, or small plastic, glass, or metal pieces.
Pets. Up to 4 dogs, $125 flat fee, disclosed and approved in writing before arrival. No cats. Undisclosed pets: $150 fee and possible cancellation without refund. A 3rd or 4th dog may be approved for an additional $100.
Trash. Place all trash in the outdoor cans — our vendor brings them to the curb, so there's no need to take them out yourself. Follow posted recycling rules if applicable.
Utilities. WiFi and power are normally reliable, but occasional outages happen and are outside our control. These rare interruptions don't qualify for refunds or cancellations.
Right of entry. We may need to enter for emergencies, urgent maintenance, or safety concerns. We'll give notice whenever possible, except in genuine emergencies.
Cancellations are refunded according to the cancellation policy, less non-refundable payment processing fees.

We enjoyed our stay. We already shared several concerns with the host including troubles with the smart lock. I would only add that the one large cooking pan needs to be replaced. The non-stick coating has worn off.

Dan and the whole team are really on top of everything! They answer extremely fast and help out with any problem or doubt you may have. They were great and we’ll stay again for sure if ever in the area again. Train can be annoying, but nothing they can do about it. Washer and dryer by the kitchen was very hand and helpful. Gate by the stairs for dogs to stay safe downstairs also a plus.

We stayed here to celebrate our daughter’s wedding, and it was a wonderful experience! The host was fantastic—very responsive and thorough, even checking in with us periodically during our stay. The home is thoughtfully stocked with lots of little extras that made it easy to settle in and feel right at home. We had plenty of space to prepare some of the food for the wedding and even had all the bridal party get ready at the home on the day of the wedding. A few notes for future guests:I didn’t realize there were steps at both entrances—about 3 to 4 stairs, including one just inside the back door. This may be mentioned in the listing, but based on the photos and the mention of a main-floor bedroom, I assumed it wouldn’t be an issue. We were traveling with my elderly mom and try to avoid stairs, but she managed with a bit of assistance. Just something to keep in mind if accessibility is a priority for others. Also, as some other guests have mentioned, the neighbors are particular about street parking near their homes and may come over to ask you to move your vehicle. However, there’s ample parking directly in front of the house on the street where there are no residences, so I’d recommend planning to park any extra vehicles there.

The owners were very nice. They replied quickly and promptly addressed issues. Unfortunately the building itself was somewhat rundown; the floors were uneven and broken in places and the stairs were hazardous. While the immediate location wasn’t the best and the nearby train was quite loud, there are a lot of attractions nearby including Lake Erie and a safari where you can feed various animals.
