The Love Shack (by the Beach) & Park! is a little old place where you can get together! Vibrant, bright and comfy, it is the perfect place for your family or couples getaway. (Is your group smaller? Check out our Love Shack by the Track, for up to 4 people). Whether you are looking for island life, nightlife, beach life… or just to enjoy life, it will fit your needs.

After a fun day at the islands or fishing for walleye, have a massage in the Massage Chair, then walk down the street less than a block to the beach to enjoy the sunset over Lake Erie. It’s an easy walk to downtown Port Clinton (.75 mile) and the Jet Express ferry to Put in Bay (1 mile). You can walk to a myriad of restaurants and drinking establishments from the Love Shack. In the District (downtown Port Clinton), you can grab your favorite beverage and meal to go and have a seat to enjoy live music (seasonally), or enjoy one of the other 3 outdoor venues with live music. End your night with a fire in the backyard fire pit before retiring to one of 3 bedrooms, a King, a queen or 2 doubles, all with blackout blinds.

You enter Love Shack through the front door. The front door opens into an enclosed porch, where you will find the Massage Chair, and a reading nook. Then you will enter the great room living area. The sectional couch pulls out into a Queen sleeper sofa. The primary bedroom is to your left, boasting a king bed. The bathroom is adjacent. The large shower includes shampoo, conditioner and body wash, with a blow dryer is hiding under the sink. Behind the folding doors you will find a washer and dryer (along with detergent/dryer sheets). The kitchen/living room is open concept. There is dining seating for 6, plus 4 chairs at the breakfast bar. Additionally, the basics you will need are supplied including coffee and basic spices. The Keurig will brew either a single cup, or an entire pot for your group. A blender, toaster, cookie sheet and cake pan are provided. The 55” HDTV is set up to stream your favorite entertainment device.

Up the stairs are two additional bedrooms and a full bathroom with a tub. The first room has a queen bed, and a desk for your work needs. The final bedroom has 2 double beds, and a 42” Roku TV mounted on the wall.

Our backyard is outfitted with fire pit, grill, and outdoor dining table set. Lakeview Park is just around the corner and hosts the Flagship Collaborative Play Place – a beautiful playground for children of all abilities. There are covered picnic shelters, a basketball court, bathrooms and parking for beach access. Ice cream and treats are available seasonally at the park.

Traveling with small children? We have a Pack n Play available on request. Please review the photos of the stairs if you have young children to ensure your comfort with the facility. The driveway provides offstreet parking (3 cars end to end). Please contact us in advance if you have additional vehicles or a boat, and we will discuss the parking options with you. The Love Shack is 116 years young, and we have lovingly updated it for you. We look forward to hosting you!

Must be 25 years old or older to book. All guests must agree to our house rules prior to booking. Please take time to review them in advance and let us know if you have any questions that you would like to discuss before your arrival.

The Love Shack (by the Beach) is not for parties or events. Guests are limited to the people listed in the reservation, unless separate arrangements are made to make sure your plans align with acceptable use. Out of respect for the residential community and our neighbors, this is not intended to be a party house.
