THE LOCATION: Remote Charm Requires Planning

Wild Thang is nestled in a beautiful, natural Broken Bow setting in a newer neighborhood accessed by a dirt road. This remote, wooded location is ideal for guests seeking a true escape from urban life. the property is about 15 minutes from Hochatown, 20 minutes from the Marina, and 30 minutes from Broken Bow town center. This distance means planning ahead for provisions is important; arriving fully stocked for your stay is the best approach rather than relying on nearby services.

The natural setting brings authentic cabin charm: You'll encounter friendly local wildlife (deer, raccoons, insects are all part of the Oklahoma cabin experience), and you'll hear the sounds of nature. Keep doors closed to minimize encounters. Note: The dirt road leading to the property may have potholes typically after rain.

NEARBY ATTRACTIONS & THINGS TO DO

Broken Bow is Oklahoma's outdoor destination, with beautiful parks, hiking trails, ATV trails (We have some in the neighborhood), and nature activities nearby. The area offers fishing, kayaking on the river, dining, and scenic exploration. While the cabin is 15 minutes from Hochatown, most groups find that the on-site amenities (pool, hot tub, pickleball, fire pit, playground) keep everyone happily occupied throughout their stay, with day trips available for those who want to venture out.

GOOD TO KNOW

This is a private cabin, not a hotel. Treat Wild Thang and its amenities with respect. No parties or unapproved events permitted (group vacations and celebrations are welcome; discuss special requests before booking). The remote, natural setting is part of the charm but requires realistic expectations: the dirt road leading to the property is unpaved with potholes; being 30 minutes from town services means planning grocery and supply runs in advance; cell service can be inconsistent (we provide reliable Wi-Fi throughout). The property is not staffed 24/7, but the host is responsive during business hours and often available for urgent issues outside those hours. A septic system serves the property — on rare occasions the system may produce odors near the outdoor area; this is a natural part of rural cabin living and typically resolves quickly.
