Located about 100 feet from the Matanzas River and within walking distance of the fort and all the downtown attractions, this home is classic, bright, and pleasantly decorated. The Tinner's House has a fabulous layout with two king bedrooms, one bedroom with a full bed and two twins, a queen pullout, full kitchen, spacious dining, cozy living space, two screened porches, and a courtyard in the back. Every detail has been thought of! Cook "at home" in the fully stocked kitchen, and rest well with crisp white linens and soft bath towels which are provided for you. A morning cup of coffee in the private courtyard will taste great just before heading out to explore. Enjoy a glass of wine on the porch in the evenings after taking a walk in this beautiful neighborhood or along the waterfront. Enjoy the kayaks provided to explore the Matanzas River a block away.
The convenience of The Tinner's House can't be beat! It is a 7-8 minute walk straight down Water Street to the Fort, and a short walk to the Visitor's Center, St. George Street, and all of the downtown area. Hop in your car or on your bike and Vilano Beach or Anastasia Island State Park is just a short 3 mile ride away along with the Amphitheatre, Alligator Farm, and St. Augustine Lighthouse. There is an eclectic mix of fun, antique shops, local great eateries and bars including Harry's Seafood Bar and Grille and St. Augustine Distillery, all an easy walk away!

This is an awesome place to stay in St. Augustine! Located in a nice quiet neighborhood, and downtown is within easy walking distance. There's plenty of space, the two porches are great for hanging out and relaxing, and they even had kayaks in the shed, which is great since the house is so close to the water.The only thing I'll mention is that the cooking pots and pans could use an upgrade. They're pretty worn, and the handle fell off a pan while we were cooking.Overall, highly recommend staying here!

The Tinner House was a great place to stay, very close to downtown St. Augustine. It's a historic house, old but mostly updated. It still has creaks and some little things you get with old houses, so if you're ok with that, this is a great property. A few things: there weren't any hangers in lower closet bathroom, only found a few upstairs, not enough for a family. A suggestion to management is to have enough hangers for guests to hang their clothes. If you want to cook, bring your essentials. The kitchen is sparsely stocked. Example: only one cutting board, etc. I'm glad I had brought my own cutting board so I could have two. But overall it was a very pleasant stay and a great place for a family vacation. The nearby Castillo de San Marcos was fabulous!

There is absolutely nothing negative that can be said about this home! It's spotless, cozy, homey, and perfectly located. The charming character has been retained while being updated for modern comfort. If I were pressed to find an issue, it would be that the downstairs screen porch could use more furniture because that's absolutely where everyone in the house will want to have their morning coffee!! There really is not a single complaint to be had with this home and we can't wait to come back!
