Summary:
Two double bedrooms apartment, terrace, luxury furniture and central, quiet 4th floor with lift. Excellent view, air-con, Wi-Fi.
The Space:
This fantastic apartment is on the fourth floor of an antique palace in the San Marco Quarter. 2 double bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms, exquisite furniture and a lovely terrace and dining room on the top floor. The Penthouse face all sides of the palace and it is furnished with central air conditioning, Wi-fi and all modern commodities. The Large and bright living room can sit 8 persons and the dining room has seating for 8 as well. The terrace is equipped with armchairs and a table where you can dine and sunbath. This is the second living room for about 7 month a year. The bedrooms are queen size and the gold up canopy with the exquisite 17th and 18th century furniture give a character to the rooms that is unique.
The bathrooms are in marble and the kitchen is fully equipped also for professional cooks. The apartment can be reached via stairs or a lift and the proximity with the Sant’Angelo vaporetto is extremely convenient for Alilaguna Airport shuttle boat and vaporetto Line 1.
In the surrounding area, there is a large Supermarket (SIMPLY) and several groceries in the “crosera” or “Calle delle botteghe”and “Salizada San Samuele”. There is a famous restaurant just 200 meters away (Acqua Pazza) and several others at walking distance such as Beccafico, Fiore, Bacareto, Rosa Rossa and many more.
The Santo Stefano area is famous for all the cafés to sit and watch the people passing by such as the famous “Paolin”.
The Neighborhood:
The home is in the center of Venice making it easy to walk to the city's historic locations. Go for a stroll along the famous canals and get lost among the narrow streets which lead to exceptional dining, boutique shops, and iconic landmarks.

Loved the apartment! Great location and so comfortable. The only issue was that the stove top burners did not light, so we just went to the market (so close) and bought a lighter. No problem at all!

Kitchen was poor. Old and needs to be refurbished. Tableware lacking. No pasta bowls for cooking at home. No cleaner showed up and no clean linen during 2 week stay, and no communication whatsoever from Red House who operates through VRBO. Pleasant location. Stay here again? Likely not.

The decor was elegant but the features were misleading.
First the meet you at your arrival did not happen; there was one person checking in us and others in so we stood in the street for awhile outside of the apartment waiting for her to show up. The features said there was a clothes dryer which turned out to be a small drying rack so we had to hang clothes around the apartment to dry; we had to hunt around for outlets that worked and the mattresses were hard with no mattress pads. Would recommend skipping the elegance and find a place that works.
