The location and views are absolutely spectacular, and the lanai was one of our favorite parts of the stay. The kitchen was also very well stocked, which made cooking easy and enjoyable. Even though there is no A/C, the ocean breeze and lower floor kept it pleasant. Overall, this is a beautiful condo with incredible potential. That said, the unit feels overdue for updates. Much of the condo appears unchanged for 15–20 years, with dated furnishings throughout. The wicker furniture especially felt tired and uncomfortable — I understand the Hawaiian aesthetic, but some of these pieces are past their prime. The mattresses were also extremely firm, which may not suit many guests.The cleaning was adequate on the surface, but the condo would really benefit from a thorough deep clean and refresh.With some updated furnishings, newer mattresses, and a little more attention to maintenance and cleaning, this property could easily be a 10/10 experience.

The little house was just as we expected. It was well equipped and comfortable. Our host was available to answer all questions and made our stay memorable.

Great communication with the property owner who seems to care a lot about their place. Super location for visiting the volcano. Quiet and safe. We would stay here again.
