Modern decor inside, bathtub out back in a secluded setting surrounded by foliage. It was very peaceful and tranquil nights/mornings with sounds from creatures in the surrounding rainforest.

Expect some DIY, there are no instructions from the host on how appliances function (e.g. they asked us to run/empty the dehumidifier but no instructions how). The fire pit igniter didn’t function, so in a drawer found a lighter, which also didn’t work, but created enough spark to light the fire. One of the back door handles fell off so we just didn’t use that door. Upon arrival a smoke detector was dangling with no battery and beeping incessantly. Since there was no ladder available to reach it, we contacted the host, who was responsive and tried to get someone to come out, but no one ever came so we had to construct a makeshift ladder by putting a barstool on the bed to reach it.
