Welcoming farmhouse with private pool situated in quiet and panoramic location on hills surrounding Florence. This property is a short distance away from the village of Montagnana and from the nice town of San Casciano Val di Pesa. The interiors are nicely furnished in a rustic style and are suitable for large groups and families with children. Outside guests can enjoy use of large areas with a private, entirely fenced-in pool.
The charming Chianti Classico villages are in easy access within 35/50 km.
Distances: Montagnana with grocery, nice restaurant, gas station and post-office 1,5 km away, Cerbaia with general stores 3 km, San Casciano Val di Pesa 10 km away, Florence (airport) 20 km, San Gimignano 35 km, Siena 60 km away, Pisa (airport) 75 km, Lucca 80 km. The Tuscan coastline area (Livorno, Castigliocello, Cecina) is approx. 100 km away.
The nearest bus stop with connections to Florence is located just 700 meters away from the house.
At guests’ disposal: covered furnished terrace accessible from the kitchen, garden, fenced-in swimming-pool (11 x 6 m; min. depth 1,2 m – max. depth 1,8 m) area with garden furniture. The villa also provides a nice playing room (created by restoring former stables) with table-tennis, billiards, piano and gym equipment : treadmill, elliptical .
Washing machine available in the covered terrace. Internet connection (WI-FI, free).
Extra Services: 2 baby beds and 2 high-chairs are available upon request (free of charge).
The villa is provided with an automatic system to spread out a natural insecticide in the outer perimeter of the villa in order to prevent the presence of mosquitos.

Our group of 2 adults and 8 kids had an EXTRAORDINARY time at Villa San Carlo - it was absolutely perfect for us! We are so grateful to Letizia and Gener for making our stay so comfortable. The house was clean, well-appointed, and had all the amenities we needed. The kids loved the game room and played ping pong and billiards a lot. We used the pool a lot due to the hot days, and it was clean and perfectly refreshing. We cooked a lot, and the kitchen had all the utensils, plates, serving platters, and glasses of all sizes that we could ever need. Dishwasher and two refrigerators were well used by our group :) As was the laundry, which worked perfectly.The bedrooms all had a/c, which we did use :) The walls are THICK so downstairs was cool even with 100-degree weather (you have to close the blinds and keep it dark during the day to retain the cool air inside) Every window had screens, so we had no issues at all with mosquitoes, as we were very conscious of keeping the doors closed.The grounds are spacious and beautiful and enclosed by gates, so that made me feel much safer to give the kids free rein to explore and navigate the property.The whole property flows well together -- from inside to outside the house, it all just feels comfortable and well-thought-out. It is a tuscan country house to be sure -- with knicks and dings, and don't expect plush mattresses and a/c in the bathrooms -- but we loved it just as it was!

San Carlo is and amazing property and it’s location is stunning, very well equipped and with excellent faxilities. The local restaurant (600 meters away) was amazing as was the cafe and ice cream outlets in the local village. Great pizza too. Fantastic pool and surrounding areas. Perfect for our family of 6. Littitia was amazing, so helpful and professional.

This property was perfect for our family. Forty minutes from Florence. One of the most spectacular views and, on the day we were just too tired to do anything, a great pool by which to hang out. The rustic farmhouse was very cozy with plenty of room for our group ( we had 6 but it could accommodate more) plenty of bathrooms and very beautiful grounds. The host was extremely helpful, and assisted us when we needed help.

We spent a short break at the villa with our family. The house is very spacious and full of character and is perfect for a family gathering or a group of friends. Our host was friendly and very helpful. We unfortunately, due to the weather, didn’t get an opportunity to use the swimming pool but we have no doubt it would be perfect in warmer weather. The house is also very conveniently located for visiting Florence. We drove to a neighbouring train station in Montelupo and got the train from there that run very frequently. It saves the hassle of parking in Florence! All in all, we had a lovely stay.
