This cabin was perfect for us. This tiny little gem tucked in between the "Cabmansions". We loved everything about it. The sleeping porch was delightful, the area was so quiet and peaceful. We got to hear Loons for the first time. Our 2nd day was windy and cool, but it made for a good day to explore the area and visit antique shops and local restaurants. We enjoyed Rafferty's Pizza and breakfast at The Pine Restaurant (we even bought a Loon print). You really are just a few feet from the lake. We enjoyed sitting on the dock with a cup of tea in the evening. The history of the cabin is interesting and it was fun to find the carved names dating back to the 1930's on the main beam in the cabin. We would have liked to have a fire, it was cool enough, but much too windy to chance it. we'll save that for next time. The sunset on the lake is beautiful and the lake itself is so clear. We didn't fish this time, we'll also plan on that next time as well. And we'll bring our eBikes because there are amazing paved trails around Gull Lake (just a few miles away)

It was vintage cutenessSome things could have been more up to date like back door difficult to open and bathroom sink with much rust

Peaceful getaway. Beautiful old log cabin where one can have the screen windows open at night and have the loons sing you to sleep. Very clean lake and a row boat if your adventuress.

Very Cute little cabin. Very clean, well stocked, great communication. The only issue was our boat didn’t fit in the boat lift but we were able to tie up at the end of the dock ok.

Coming down Sunset View Lane, the sign at the end of our driveway, lets you know you've arrived at Camp David! A peaceful and cozy 100 year old red log cabin. Rumor has it, this former resort cabin, was used by gangsters from Chicago! The signatures in the logs will have you standing and reading who visited this cabin over the years and when they visited! We've seen signatures from 1919! This charming red cabin was built from logs floating in the lake. Featuring 100 feet of lake front & fabulous sandy bottom for swimming. The cabin sits 40 feet from the water and is 600 square feet. Complete with modern appliances, refrigerator, gas stove and microwave. Adjoining the kitchen is the living room with a smart TV, cable and wifi is available. There is a rustic bath with shower, four season porch with two full beds. Forced air heat & window A/C. We have two exterior only security cameras. This is on at all times for security only. Porch features original logs and vaulted ceiling. A special west facing view of incredible sunsets, will not be forgotten. Spot for great campfires! A rare find, this is our personal cabin which we like to share with others.
Nearby fun - Crosslake: Lake Country Cones and Crafts, Zorbas, Pine Peaks Restaurant, Town Square for shopping and more, mini-golf, DQ, public access to Whitefish chain of lakes at Trout Lake or Crosslake. Moonlight Bay restaurant, Reed's for groceries, ACE Hardware and a new brewery. Emily: Emily Meats for old fashioned meat market great for steaks, Sweets N Such/Up North Gifts, Conoco gas station, ACE Hardware, Emily Golf Brainerd: Paul Bunyan Land and lots of shopping Crosby: midwest antique capital, a couple new breweries Fifty Lakes: Emily Golf, Golden Eagle Golf, Crosswoods Golf, 50 Lakes Bar and Bottle shop - Tuesdays are wings night, Wednesday $5 hamburger basket night.
