GULF-FRONT home on the sugar sands of beautiful Cape San Blas, Florida!
Panoramic sunset views over the ocean from your decks! Two decks overlooking the Gulf and one overlooking the Bay.
This section of the Cape has very few homes, so the beach is pretty private and quiet here. Only one row of homes here, no high-rises, you will often see more wildlife than people, even in the summer! *NEWLY EXPANDED BEACH AREA! A huge amount of fresh, white sand has been added to the beach, so there is even more beach to enjoy (now one of the largest beaches on the Cape)!

CAPE SAN BLAS AREA INFO:
One of the nicest things about Cape San Blas is that it is secluded. Even during the busy season, you will have your own spot on the beach rather than the rows of umbrellas and chairs at other beaches. However, fewer people also means that there are fewer restaurants and attractions—the attraction is the beach and the ability to get away from it all. There are some local stores and small restaurants on the Cape, and Port St. Joe is only 20 minutes away and has a greater selection of restaurants and a larger grocery store.
Some area activities to consider:
-Relax on the beach - the sound of the waves is amazing!
-Swim and play in the ocean
-Dolphin watching (seen often from our deck!)
-Kayak, in gulf or bay (available from rental companies)
-Paddle board (available from rental companies)
-Private heated swimming pool
-Fishing
-Beach bonfire (and s’mores of course)
-Star gazing - you’ve probably never seen so many stars if you live in the city!

-Snorkeling in the Bay: look for sea turtles, puffer fish, manta rays, sea urchins, conch shells, sand dollars, horseshoe crabs

How to get to the Cape:
-By car: easy regional drive from the midwest, south, and southeast.
-By plane:
Panama City (Northwest Florida Beaches International) Airport (ECP): 1.5 hr drive to Cape.
Tallahassee Airport (TLH): 2 hr drive to Cape.
Destin/Ft Walton Beach Airport (VPS): 2.5 hr drive to Cape.
Cape San Blas Weather: there are nice days here every month of the year! Summer is warm, but still enjoyable with the ocean breeze. Winter still has many nice days, with cooler evenings - great for a bonfire!

THINGS TO KNOW:
Pillows, sheets, blankets, and towels are provided.
We have Smart TVs throughout the home, including each bedroom (BYO passwords for streaming apps such as Netflix, Hulu, Prime, etc). We do not have cable/satellite.
We provide a starter supply of toilet paper, trash liners, as well as some toiletries. Additional supplies beyond this are the responsibility of the guest.
We also supply beach/pool towels, beach chairs, and tons of beach gear for your stay! We supply a beach umbrella, but if you prefer a large beach tent, there are local gear rental companies who rent those and deliver to the home.
The WiFi is via Starlink, which is quite reliable in this area. Some cell phone carriers may have patchy coverage here. Due to the remote location of the Cape, water pressure can be lower at times. However, we have a water pressure booster pump to help normalize pressure as much as possible, which is a major advantage over homes without this amenity.
Check-in. Early check-ins are usually not feasible, as the cleaning team needs this time to prepare the home. However, we will definitely reach out to you if the house is ready early! You will receive a personal access door code on the day prior to your arrival, which will be valid for your rental dates.
Checkout time: 10 AM ET. Our cleaner needs time to prepare the home for the next guest, so we appreciate your consideration of checkout time.
NO SMOKING OR VAPING. You will incur an additional charge if any evidence of smoking is found in the house.
OCCUPANCY. Max of 12 guests on the property at all times.
Pets. We allow guests to bring 1 or 2 dogs, total. Pet fee will apply. Dog must be house trained, without accidents. We request guests rinse sand off their pet before returning inside. We also request that the pet is housed in a crate if the guests will be leaving the pet at home alone, as they can get nervous or confused in a new place. If there is excess pet hair or any damage, this would result in additional charges.
Primary guest must be 25 years of age or older and must be present for the duration of the stay.
For security, the home is equipped with outdoor video surveillance.
Please note this home is in a tropical location and although we have regular pest control, bugs may get inside when there are doors opening/closing. If you happen to notice any insects in the home during your stay, please reach out and I will address it promptly.
Gulf County allows vehicles with a paid annual beach driving permit to drive on the beach from a designated vehicle access point. There may occasionally be vehicles that pass by slowly on the beach. Artificial reef structures were installed in the gulf, just offshore, to reduce the beach erosion. Location is marked by signs. Please do not climb or stand on these structures.
The cancellation policy, as described by VRBO, is in effect upon booking and does not allow refunds or changes to the reservation due to weather. However, if there is an official mandatory evacuation ordered for Cape San Blas, we will refund the reservation for any affected nights. We recommend that all guests purchase travel insurance which offers coverage for cancellation due to illness, weather, or other events that could impact your trip. Travel insurance can be purchased online for reasonable cost.
All guests are required to sign a Rental Agreement.

Maria’s beach house was hands down one of the best we’ve ever stayed at! So beautiful and comfortable and efficient! The location is perfect and with the recent beach refurbishment we had TONS of room out on the beach to enjoy and explore and not feel like we were crowded at all. We found loads of beautiful shells. Very quiet area as well. The beds are all super comfortable and we were so thankful for the blackout curtains in every bedroom. One HUGE plus was that the air conditioning works tremendously well, which has always been an issue in past beach homes we’ve rented. The kitchen is perfectly stocked with everything we needed to cook which was a very pleasant surprise since we love to cook, and the elevator was SO helpful, not only for my mother who had just recently had knee surgery, but for hauling all of our heavy luggage and groceries etc. I’ll never rent another beach house without an elevator! Such a great amenity! The pool was perfect for those who didn’t want to hang out too much at the beach. Maria is a wonderful host and was very quick to respond to any questions we had or anything we needed and regularly checked on us to see if she could be of assistance, which was so nice. I highly recommend booking Maria’s beach home and look forward to returning! Definitely 5 10/10! Thanks for sharing your incredible beach home with us, Maria!

A beautiful home on the Cape. Communication was excellent and pictures do not do justice to this welcoming home that accompanied the 7 of us. We were immediately welcomed with a welcome gift from the hosts. How thoughtful! We put on a full Thanksgiving dinner and the kitchen had everything we needed. We had an issue with the cooling system on the 2nd day and someone was out in the next half hour fixing the issue. We are already planning our next visit.
