Orchard Cottage is a blissful 18th century thatched holiday cottage which sleeps four guests, in two well presented bedrooms, with a family bathroom. This spacious grade II listed Cotswold stone cottage perfectly blends contemporary decor with traditional character, including a Cotswold stone fireplace and a cosy electric flame effect stove, exposed wooden beams and a variety of modern facilities. On the ground floor are spacious and well-appointed rooms, and outside there is a beautiful rear garden comprising of three attractive areas with a variety of comfortable seating and a charcoal barbecue, making it perfect for al fresco dining in the warmer months. Orchard Cottage also accepts two medium sized dogs to join in the adventure!

Accessed via the kitchen, the stunning garden comprises of three areas with a variety of flowers and shrubbery dotted throughout. The patio, lawn garden and a gravel area is home to a two-seater Rattan sofa, two armchairs, an outdoor table and seating for four, plus a charcoal barbecue, making it perfect for al fresco dining in the warmer months.

The maximum occupancy for this property is four guests. Infants do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, due to space restrictions the occupancy can only be exceeded by one additional infant (aged 2 or under)
Bed linen and towels are provided
Guests can load and unload cars outside the property, however please note that parking is not permitted on this road between 8am and 6pm. There is some free on-street parking available in Broadway, however guests may prefer to park in the long stay car park, a short walk away from the property
1 travel cot and 1 highchair are available on request (please bring your own linen for the travel cot, as this is not provided)

Lovely cottage which is absolutely fine for 2 ( in 2nd bedroom bed is against wall on one side so a little limiting). We enjoyed our stay - well equipped kitchen, comfortable lounge. Bed reasonable and most of the time hubby remembered to duck for the low door! Lovely outside and very secure for dogs ( walls or high fence). Has been changed a bit since photos but could see 2 good sitting areas that would be sun traps, had weather been better would have happily tried them out! A couple of minor issues but we left a note so hopefully they will be rectified ( not urgent enough to contact while there). Very handy for the town centre and all the shops etc. Quiet road despite being on edge of a residential area. Parking was OK - good to have ability to unload/ load at cottage. Car park quiet later in day when returning - aware not there in peak period - and able to pay for long periods so if you not using car for the day no need to keep topping up.

We spent a few days in this nice traditional cottage. The location is very good, just 5 minutes walk from High Street and atlhough there is no private parking place, there is Long Stay carpark just 2 minutes away where you can park for 4 pounds per day.
The kitchen is very light and spacious and well equipped. The living room is cosy and characteristic. The bedrooms upstairs are comfortable but not very big, especially the smaller one. The beds were very comfortable.
The modern bathroom is downstairs and is well equipped. However, the shower is only a Rain Forest shower and there was no possiblity to use a hand shower which was the only thing we really did not like.

My general rule of thumb when booking and paying good money for a holiday property is that it needs to be as good as, if not better, than my own home. Sadly Orchard Cottage, although a lovely little Cotswolds Cottage in a great location, does not meet that standard. The whole property inside needs upgrading, it looks as though it was made ready as a holiday let about ten years ago and has not been touched since. We stayed over Christmas 2024, therefore this review is based on a winter stay. Firstly the heating was struggling and only one radiator upstairs on the landing, no heating in the bedrooms. Otherwise if you left the kitchen door open or the door to upstairs whilst in the living room the temperature dropped considerably, so a lot of door management needed! The bathroom was below par, the shower needed upgrading as it was very weak, the shower door seal at the bottom was torn and hanging off and the rest was dark brown with mould. The toilet roll dispenser old and rusty. Bath towels too small, no bath sheets provided. The TV needs upgrading, no streaming available, and it looks unsightly with cables hanging down to the windowsill behind. The entire carpet needs replacing, worn and shabby throughout. A small welcome pack in the kitchen would be nice, providing a couple of fresh teabags, coffee sachets etc, also basic condiments, instead the old and grubby leftovers from previous guests. Lots of miss matched crockery and cutlery, and not nearly enough oven dishes, frying pan dented and burnt. Toaster only works on one side of the bread. Debris from previous guests under the kitchen table. The bed was the most uncomfortable one we've ever slept in, the bed linen is disgraceful, the duvet is too small for the 4ft 6in bed, pillow cases torn and with holes in, pillows lumpy and uncomfortable. It's a real shame that such a pretty cottage is so unloved. The most telling thing is we have since noticed that many of these comments have been made in previous reviews and have not been addressed, it seems the owner sees fit to ignore constructive feedback. However, having said all that we managed to enjoy our stay, mainly as Broadway is really the most exquisite Cotswold village, particularly at Christmas with all the lights around.
