Since the studio days when it was all a big open space, Sandy and Pat have renovated this property to be fully accommodating so we can share the beautiful cottage and gardens with family, friends and guests for a tranquil and relaxing vacation away.
This gorgeous Pottery cottage retreat is where Sandy spent over 20 years hand crafting her finest Australian pottery collection, together Mum and I (sandy), have filled the home with many special pieces of Sandys work to give you a true feel for the beauty that was created here, most bowls, plates, cups and vases were all made in this special cottage that Pat built for Sandy. Out the back you can still see the original shed where the firing kiln still remains
You can have access to the entire cottage and verandah. At the back of the cottage is a garden that you are welcome to enjoy. Parking is available on the turning circle only.
Most things a guest will need to know i have outlines on the listing details, however if there is anything else please do let me know via the airbnb message thread.
Healesville is a quite residential town with many great cafes and restaurants. there are many lovely walks in the nature parks and along walking trails. healesville is a 1 hour drive from the snowfields of lake mountain is popular for yarra valley winerys, the chocolateria. and the world renowned Healesville Sanctuary.
A car is the best way to get around healesville and visit all the best places around the town and Yarra Valley.
Please note check in time is anytime after 3pm, and check out time is anytime before 11am.
Please check out my house manual for some essentials and browse through my guide book to see what i recommend around the area, things to see, do and where to eat. please note single mattresses are set up on request.
- CCTV will be installed at the property for your safety and the safety of the house.
- Only paid guests to enter property
- Host must have prior approval of any extra guest before they commence their stay, your full security bond will be at risk if this rule is not applied.
- Your security bond will be at risk is you have parties, gatherings or events as this jeopardises us being able to host as it is against council regulations and can upset neighbours.
- Check out is 10am.
- No shoes in the house
-floor mattresses will be set up on request but prior to check in for guests after 2
- No smoking inside the house, all butts disposed of in bins.
- House must be left clean and respectable as found.
- all dishes to be washed and dried after use.
- No parties and loud noise.
- please note there is an extra charge for guests more than 2

The cottage suited my needs - secluded, quiet and restful. Roomy, comfortable bed, good workable kitchen and I did love the large table. The cottage is not cozy - sofas are formal, lighting in all rooms didn’t work for me, lots of blinds all white, no pictures on the walls. This may be personal preference but I took off one star from my rating

We had a 3 night stay at the cottage which was comfortable with adequate facilities. The bedroom was lovely and the bed/ bedding was very comfy. The kitchen had all the basics and the huge table was a great place to eat. We had a little difficulty finding the property up the very steep drive as there was no number 15A displayed . Some reviews have said that it's a 15 minute walk into the town which we would question.The property is at the top of a very steep hill and is quite isolated. You need a car to get to and from anywhere of interest. The rear garden was a little unloved and would have benefitted from a bench or garden seating. We had thought we may get a stunning view with being so high up but the high trees hid the views and made the garden feel claustrophobic. The pottery shed and bird shed at the rear of the house did nothing to improve the area.
