Hurricane Helene Update: The Cozy Cottage survived the hurricane! There are some minor repairs that need to be done but otherwise we are very lucky. There is power, internet, and water at the property and we are accepting reservations.

A fabulous space for two people, this cozy cottage is located only 9.3 miles to the heart of downtown Asheville where you can enjoy locally produced food and beer, fun live music, and a vibrant arts scene. This home boasts a thoughtfully updated interior and a back yard with a fire pit. There is plenty to see with Black Mountain's Downtown Historic District or the Blue Ridge Parkway also just a short drive away!

The cottage was very clean, comfortable, and spacious. The kitchen was well equipped. It had a nice little private yard.

The property was very cute and well located for our activities in Black Mountain and Pisgah National Forest and Ashville. It was much larger than I had expected.A couple of things:1) The contact phone number on the house instructions form (615-200-7766) took me to a person who is a property manager in Tennessee. Our inbound flight was delayed significantly and I wanted to contact someone to let them know. So, from what I had, there was not way to contact the property owner/manager except through the VRBO site or app. A phone number would have helped for texting.2) The turquoise mailbox has been knocked over so is very difficult to see from the road, especially in poor light or the dark.3) The recent rains had caused the vegetation around the front porch and back yard to be overgrown. A haircut would help.

This cute house was the perfect fit. I have loved staying in many different small cottages and this one was most enjoyable.
