Some things we enjoyed were that all of the appliances in the kitchen seemed to be new and the cookware was better than we have had in other units. The proximity to the pool was also a plus. Some areas of disappointment were that we could not get the unit to cool enough to our satisfaction. The handle to the back door was incredibly loose and my husband even attempted to fix it, so we felt secure. Upon check in, we discovered a dead roach and one wall covered in lint from the air conditioning vent. The bathroom was outdated, and felt very low end for what we were paying. It is outside of the host’s control, but we had a very loud family above us and two calls to guest services proved ineffective. We have stayed at John Fripp Villas several times, and this is a unit that we likely won’t stay in again.
