OCEANSIDE WITH VIEWS OF THE SOUND-You're "On Island Time" in the heart of North Carolina's scenic Outer Banks! This five-bedroom/four-bathroom home is conveniently located in the village of Waves on beautiful Hatteras Island. Just a short distance from world renowned REAL Watersports where you can hit the waves learning to kite board and surf like a professional. If you prefer your water without the surf, you will love the oversized 33'x 15' private pool where you can spend your days lounging and soaking up the sun. Just a few steps from the pool deck you will find the covered outdoor shower and toilet, convenient for quick trips from the beach and pool!
You will find the four-person golf cart parked under the house, near the entry. Who doesn't love riding around on a summer night checking out the scenery? And, while this home is only a short walk from the private beach, the golf cart is very handy for transporting beach gear and family.
As you enter the home, head up the short flight of stairs to the lower level. Here you will find three newly renovated and furnished king bedrooms and a newly furnished bunk room with two twin bunks. Each room is equipped with a television, Roku device for streaming services, and a subscription to Spectrum TV, for your favorite channels. Also on this level are two bathrooms, the laundry room and game room. Kids will have fun trying out their skills at the foosball table! Head outside to the lower deck where the six-person hot tub is located. Perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing, touring the lighthouses or shopping.
On the main level, you will find another king bedroom and a full bathroom. This level is open concept with a living room, dining room, kitchen and ship's watch. Step out into the screened-in porch where you can stretch out on the outdoor sectional or enjoy a meal under the stars. End your perfect day on the upper deck watching beautiful sunsets over the Pamlico sound.
Did we mention this is a dog friendly home? We have a large size crate for those that need their own space. The home has a spacious fenced in yard around the pool. The subdivision has very walkable, wide paved roads with doggie stations along the way. Sidewalks line the main road, perfect for walking, biking, jogging. And, unlike other parts of OBX, your furry friends are welcome on Hatteras Island beaches year-round!
*Professionally laundered towels, washcloths, hand towels, beach towels provided for each guests. Beds will be made except top bunks. Linens will be provided.

Located in the upscale community of St. Waves, this neighborhood has private beach access, a community pool and tennis courts. Wide, paved streets are perfect for bike rides, walking the dogs and accessing the community lake. While there is parking for four vehicles, you may find you never have to leave! You are literally a few steps away from restaurants and Waves Market and Deli. Forgot something? They will have it 363 days a year.
Visitors love this area because they can take their vehicles onto the beaches. There are several spots within a few minutes' drive where you can air down your four-wheel drive vehicle and cruise out on the beach. Set up your canopies and cooking gear, play all day! If the waves are too much, just outside of town you will find the perfect place on the sound. The Salvo Day Use area has a spacious beach, clean bathrooms and plenty of parking. Perfect for kids, kayaking and canoes! You can catch a glimpse of the kiteboarders as they sail the "slick".
You are a short 20-minute drive to Avon where there are many more restaurants and a large grocery store. Further down you can explore the south end towns of Buxton, Frisco and Hatteras. Don't forget to check out historic Hatteras Lighthouse. You can catch the ferry for a day trip to Ocracoke Island.
Head north through the scenic and protected dunes of Hatteras Island, stop by Bodie lighthouse on your way to explore historic Roanoke Island and the quaint seaside village of Manteo. Or head into the towns of Nags Head, Kill Devil Hills and Kitty Hawk for a day of sightseeing at The Wright Memorial and Jockey's Ridge State Park. Here you will find putt-putt, movie theaters and all the conveniences of home.
Hatteras Island is a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts and adventurers who love the sea. It's a haven for beach babies, stargazers and nature lovers to explore pristine beaches and dunes. This was a fantastic vacation rental for our large family and two dogs. The pool, golf cart, hot tub, and beachy setting made it a real hit for us. Everything we needed was right there and the location was convenient to area attractions, sight seeing, groceries, and coffee shops. The owner was communicative and readily available via text or phone calls for questions. It's a great value and a very pet friendly property.

The hosts were so kind and helpful throughout the week. I cannot say enough about all of the amenities - bikes, golf cart, beach chairs, umbrellas, cornhole, grill by pool, and the list goes on and on. All of the "extras" were very thoughtful. Our family had a wonderful time. You cannot go wrong with the hosts or the property.

It was a great home for us and our 2 dogs. The hot tub was fantastic. The sunsets from the top deck were beautiful. It was a short walk to the beach and you could drive the golf cart to the beach parking.

Over all had a great time.
Room for improvement on cleanliness, food in microwave, oven, dishwasher had mold and grime on sides and top of it, some of the utensils had food on them. Found hair in frig and on bathroom floor on middle hall bathroom. Also vacuumed because they were crumbs/ food on floor in living room area.
I know the owners are new and working on things! 😊
Just might want to check on what your cleaners are doing. That was my only real complaint, everything else was great.
