INSIDE:
Walk through the gate, and just like that — your vacation begins. At Sunset Ridge, everything is set up for comfort, connection, and memory-making.
The open-concept layout keeps everyone close, whether you’re preparing meals or just hanging out. The fully equipped kitchen features high-end appliances, a wine fridge, six stools at the island, and a dining table for six — making it easy for everyone to gather, chat, and enjoy meals together with a view of the lake.
When the weather invites you indoors, the living room is a cozy retreat. Plush leather couches are perfect for cuddling up on rainy days, and the gas fireplace and smart TV offer the perfect setup for movie nights or quiet afternoons. Central air conditioning keeps the space comfortable no matter the season.
There’s even a ping pong table in the garage — a favorite spot for some friendly family competition.

With two full 4-piece bathrooms, and a powder room, there’s plenty of space for everyone to refresh and relax.

OUTSIDE:
Step outside to everything you dreamed of in a cottage getaway.
Enjoy your morning coffee on the deck’s outdoor living room, or gather at the picnic table or dining table for lakeside meals fresh off the gas BBQ. In the evening, cozy up around the firepit overlooking the lake, the perfect spot for roasting marshmallows and telling ghost stories under the stars.
With private access to the lake and two kayaks included, adventure is always within reach. There’s also a playset for the kids to enjoy while you relax and take in the breathtaking views. Your private access takes you down to the shores of Lake Huron.
NOTE: Approx. 80 stairs down to the beach. The lakebed can be sandy or stoney depending on what the lake gives you that day. But it sure is fun to try to find the ever changing sandbars. Generally you will find sand 3ft out. It's fun to go stone collecting - Lake Huron is a geologists paradise! Just bring some water shoes. The nice thing is, it's not weedy or slimy at all.
Max 1 small non-shedding dog is allowed
Parking is limited to 4 vehicles
Linens are available for $20/per person. This includes Tea Towels, Dishcloths, Sheets & Pillowcases, Bathroom towels, Hand towels and Face cloths. Does not include Beach Towels.
NOTE: Primary renter must be 25 yrs old and provide government issued photo id. A separate security deposit of $500 is required.
All Guests are required to sign a separate cottage rental agreement. Including names and ages of all guests who will occupy the property. This property is equipped with a monitoring device (including noise, temp & wifi connections) Max occupancy at all times is 8, violation will result in removal without refund.

Wander downtown and find your new favorite cafe, and be sure to save a day to explore Bayfield's wineries and breweries! Just a few minutes away, you can enjoy an amazing wine tasting experience at Hessenland Inn & Schatz Winery.
You're just 1 minute from White Squirrel Golf Club, perfect for a round on the lush summer greens or a laid-back afternoon at their patio restaurant. Downtown Bayfield is only 10 minutes away—browse the charming boutiques and enjoy a refreshing drink at one of the quaint cafes.

Sunset Ridge is absolutely stunning. The pictures (even though beautiful) still don't do this property justice. We stayed as a family of eight and as seasoned cottage renters, this was easily the best cottage experience we've had. Highlights included to stunning Lake Huron views, the sprawling grounds, an outdoor deck fit for royalty and all of the supplies you could ever want for a peaceful getaway from city life. Our family cannot thank Jennifer and Shauna enough for a stay we will remember for many years to come!

We had a delightful stay at Sunset Ridge including beautiful views, sunny days and a thunderstorm over the lake. What else could you ask for?! Both the cottage and the property are absolutely lovely. Thank you so much Shauna and Jennifer for your attention to every detail that ensured we had a great visit.

Sunset Ridge was the perfect cottage for our family of 6! The house is beautiful and well equipped. The backyard being fully enclosed and quite large meant lots of room for our kids and dog to play.
The private beach was fantastic and is where we spent most of our time!

We had the pleasure of staying at Sunset Ridge . The Cottage was even better in person than in the pictures . Sunset Ridge was very clean with all the essentials included with a beautiful upgraded kitchen and stunning view of the Lake .The primary bedroom had sliding doors onto the back deck and you could hear the waves crashing . The upstairs was very private and our daughter had the wing to herself .
The back deck included plenty of comfortable seating , awnings for shade and a hammock to relax in . The muskoka chairs surrounding the fire pit was a huge gathering spot to roast marshmallows and watch the breathtaking sunsets . The 60 steps led to a very private part of St Joesph’s beach with very calm, clear water before 50km winds created amazing waves. The family really enjoyed the ping pong tournaments in the bonus garage room . We rent a cottage in the area every year and Sunset Ridge has everything we were looking for in a cottage and we will be making a return trip for sure !
