Tehla Bagh

My wife and I loved the relaxed, home-like atmosphere. With just six rooms, a cosy living room, beautiful lawns and rustic village surroundings, Tehla Bagh feels personal and intimate. Our room was spacious and beautifully appointed, with striking paintings and a generously sized, clean, modern bathroom. Wi-Fi was strong and reliable. The vegetarian food was very good; you need to order non-vegetarian meals in advance. There are lovely opportunities to walk and cycle around and behind the property. Sariska’s Tehla Gate, also known as Gate 2, is about 6–7 km away, a 15–20-minute drive. The entire staff were polite, courteous and welcoming. Shubham, the chief keeper of the property, deserves a special mention for his warmth, attentiveness and efficiency. He took particular care to make our stay comfortable. Being tucked away off the main road adds to its charm. I highly recommend it, but go expecting a cosy, well-appointed premium homestay with a soul of its own, not a conventional “resort”. We would happily return.

There were a couple of initial issues: weak shower pressure and some seepage causing a damp smell in our originally booked room. The staff promptly moved us to a first-floor room at no extra charge and were very responsive to our concerns. Signposting needs improvement. There is a board at the turn from the main road towards the village, but no clear directions beyond it. The villagers helped us find our way. The main gate stays closed and has no property name on it, making it easy for first-time visitors to drive past.

Very well done in local Rajasthani style. Awesome food and service.

Very Elegantly and Tastefully Architectured. Quite, Decent size property with very few rooms gives a good feeling of exclusivity and ownership. Good Open Space, Lawn, Trees, and the Swiming Pool. Nice Room Size and Good Bathrooms. Light music all around at the Property. Extremely Hospitable and well trained Staff, gives a lot of Personal attention. Food cooked to the Guests liking.

About 300m of the last approach road section which is kuccha. Suggest pacing with stones.
