Extensive views towards the city of Lucca and the Tuscan rolling hills on the back are ready to embrace you during lazy summer days. Time can be stopped at Villa Lina, and you will easy forget your busy life left behind. If Stendhal syndrome is known to develop when encountering something overwhelmingly beautiful, then be careful, as you could be subject to it at this magic place.
Bordered by a large terrace and an attractive, dark-blue infinity pool, Villa Lina is simply synonym of opulent living.
The well-equipped pool area boasts an outdoor kitchen and an eating area with gazebo, table and chairs, where to enjoy your meals accompanied by the song of cicadas, in front of a spectacular views. At night, crickets and city lights in the distance will keep on the leisure project.
With the several corners where to rest and two outdoor eating areas, you will have plenty of choices to both share your time with your loved ones and retain some privacy for reading, writing or even working.

Due to the particularity of the landscape and position of the villa and the pool, the accommodation is not suitable for children under 12 or people with walking difficulties. We also recommend extreme attention while going and coming from the pool as shown in the pictures, the stairs are steep and without protection.

What an amazing villa in the hills. It’s hard to put into words how special this place is. The adventure starts on the narrow, winding, but charming drive up. Once you’re there, you can see for miles with stunning views of the hills and Lucca. The house is historic, but perfectly appointed and charming. The kitchen had all the essentials for amazing self catered meals. The pool area was unbelievably gorgeous. Everything
The beds were short! They were plenty wide, but I’m 6’2” and my feet were hanging off!

We loved the house and the scenery. Lots of space to socialize and to be for your self. Beautiful pool area with absolutely stunning views. Attention to detail in everything from check-in to shower kits in the bathrooms.

Our stay at the villa was a long awaited special treat, and it didn’t disappoint! The place was absolutely stunning and we enjoyed downtime by the pool and in the spacious and clean spaces. It’s worth noting that the drive to the villa is very steep. We arrived in pouring rain and were very glad we had a local who was familiar with the roads for the drive. The Villa is also quite a ways from Lucca, so unless you have a car you’re far from amenities.

We stayed as a family of four (2 adults, 2 fourteen year old boys) for a week in Aug 2023 just after the property had been renovated and had a brilliant week.
The setting is high in the hills about 20 mins drive outside of Lucca so naturally you need a car. The view across the plain is stunning and you have complete privacy. When we stayed in Aug 2023 I would recommend a four wheel drive car for the uphill gravel access road, front wheel drive was at the limit - worth bearing in mind when booking as that may evolve in time.
The house itself was super comfortable and had more bedrooms and space than we needed but welcome nonetheless. With temperatures in the high 30s the air conditioning in bedrooms was really welcome at night. Other rooms are also air conditioned but we didn't need it outside of bedrooms.
By day we spent a lot of time in the pool. Although the water was fairly warm it was cool enough relative to the air temperature. To get there you go up a set of steep steps to the level where you can see over the house looking down the hillside.
Inside the rooms are big, bathrooms good and kitchen had everything plus big fridge freezer and everything you need for cooking. It was great to have plenty of outdoor seating / eating areas with comfortable furniture, plus large BBQ.
Given the newness there were some minor things which were quickly sorted when we mentioned and are part of bedding in. It's worth being aware of the slightly marginal mains electricity supply which is outside the control of the owners. If you have too much electrical load the fuse can trip but it's easy to flip back. WiFi was a little patchy but workable.
Owner and agent were lovely and easy to deal with, and Lucca is a great town, other cities such as Florence and Pisa within easy reach.
We would thoroughly recommend this property.
