La Tropica Canggu Bali By Kanaya Hospitality

We arrived an hour early, but our bungalow was already ready for us. That was a lovely welcome, and our first impression was excellent. The bungalow was beautiful and very clean, with everything we needed. Breakfast was great too. Alongside the buffet, you could order items such as fried eggs, French toast or pancakes. You could even choose two or three extra items if you wanted. Everyone worked hard to make sure guests felt well looked after, and that really showed. There are just a couple of small things that could make the stay even better. I missed having a bin by the pool. I saw some guests throw their rubbish over the glass railing because there wasn’t one nearby, so I’d suggest adding enough bins around the pool area. I also noticed that, although the pool area is set up like a little restaurant, there is no food or drink service there. It’s easy enough to walk to reception, but being able to order a drink by the pool would be a nice extra. I’ve already shared this feedback on WhatsApp. We stayed in bungalow 115. I slept very well for the first four nights, but after that a very determined barking dog kept me awake through the night. When I mentioned it to reception after two nights, they immediately offered us another place to sleep or to move all our belongings. As we were travelling on the following morning, we were grateful to accept the offer to sleep elsewhere. We stayed in bungalow 106. In fact, I preferred bungalow 106. The layout worked better for us, with a little kitchen and sink outside the room, a different pool layout that made it possible for two people to relax in the gazebo, and a bathtub positioned across the window rather than lengthwise. If we return, I’ll definitely ask for bungalow 106. The staff are all so kind and do their very best for their guests. A few team members could benefit from more English practice, as communication was sometimes difficult, but everyone was friendly and clearly tried to help.

The room was comfortable and well-equipped. The staff was very friendly and professional.

The breakfast options were limited. For a hotel like this, I would suggest offering an open buffet so guests can choose according to their dietary needs and preferences. My stay included breakfast, yet I was charged extra for oat milk, which I found disappointing. Additionally, maintenance work was taking place during the day without any prior notice. I was only informed via a note left in my room upon arrival.
