Most places you stay are forgettable by the time you hit the highway home. This one's a little harder to shake.

The apartment sits inside the McCulloch Mansion, a Fort Wayne landmark that's been standing since 1843. It's been renovated without losing the bones that make it worth noticing — and staying on the ground floor means you settle in fast and leave without the hassle.

Two bedrooms, two queen beds, room for four, and enough space that people aren't constantly in each other's way.

Mornings here have a way of slowing down. Coffee's ready when you are, the kitchen is stocked for anyone who actually wants to cook, and there's no pressure to be anywhere.

When you do head out, Promenade Park is a short walk away — a riverfront spot that tends to hold people longer than they expected.

The Landing is close enough for a casual dinner or a drink that turns into two, and the whole neighborhood moves at a pace that makes it genuinely easy to unwind.

Come back to in-unit laundry, a dedicated workspace if the trip has a little business mixed in, and two beds that are hard to leave in the morning. It's comfortable in a way that feels effortless — like someone actually thought about what you'd need.

By the time you're packing up, you'll already be thinking about when you can come back.
