The villa was light, spacious and had everything we needed. We loved the pool with the overhanging frangipani trees and the little grassed yard. The staff were warm, friendly and very helpful. There's a little restaurant next door that does delicious, simple Balinese food, fresh fruit juices etc. The location is great. It's just outside of the hustle and bustle but if you walk 50 metres you're on the main shopping strip and the corner of a road that goes straight to the beach. There is a large construction site happening across the road but it didn't bother us - they seemed to operate within reasonable hours.

The only let down was that the showers were very dirty and you could feel the layer of grime with your feet. It was clear that they don't get properly scrubbed. I used one of the bamboo toothbrushes provided to check that it was grime that would actually come off (rather than stain). Most of it came off very easily. I asked the staff if they could give the shower floors a good scrub when they did housekeeping the next day and they were happy to oblige. It was clear to me that they did give them a decent scrub, but even still, there was more muck that I could get off with just a soft toothbrush and water. Not a big deal, but it's what is getting in the way of me giving 10/10. Having said that, we would still happily come back to this villa.

This is my second visit to this hotel. This time I was given a loft department which provides a decent of living space and an upstairs bedroom. The location is excellent. Easy access to the bypass Road, excellent new cafe – 7 am 7 pm just a few metres away and the beach is at the end of the street.

I’d advise asking for a pool facing apartment if possible. These are insulated from the traffic noise from the bypass Road. The one I stayed in wasn’t. This is my Leon a problem on the Saturday night.

Property is pretty. We stayed in a maisonette upstairs. Plenty of room. Good location. Walking distance to beach and all restaurants. Bed was comfy

Floors could be bleached and cleaned properly. More attention to cleaning required. Kitchenette should have a tea towel and washing up liquid provided. When construction nearby has finished it will be a prime location
