Fantastic spot within the pub grounds which meant we could enjoy a lovely dinner without venturing far or heading back out in the car.
I believe it is a converted garage which had been done to a great standard and really smart use of space. The shower room acting as a dressing/storage area, there was a kettle/toaster/milk/juice/cereal etc all included. We were only there for 12 hours in total as arrived in the evening and had to start work early nearby but Id have loved to have stayed longer.
Bedding soft and comfortable
Bolts on the bed could do with tightening as was a bit creaky and Id have preferred larger towels but everything else was spot on

We had come from Pembrokeshire for a party in Uckfield. Our Host was extremely accommodating and very helpful. We did need to turn the little fridge off overnight.I asked for a cafetière and they happily supplied one. What a great use of space. Well thought out.
The Star was an amazing old pub, we had a lovely chat with late drinking locals, the staff were great , Jude on Sunday, Lou? our host Monday,. We had a lovely meal in The Starl Monday night.

The breakfast was toast cereal, Coffee or tea made yourself in your suite. The bed was comfortable and the host was very nice. I slept soundly. The area was very quiet. You had your own entrance which was good as I arrived after a family gathering nearby at 2am! I just let myself in with the door code. The shower was nice. I wish I could have had a pint in the lovely old pub (1349) but did not have enough time.
The furniture could have been a little sturdier (table was wobbly when trying to cut the fresh bread for toast)but on the whole more than adequate for me. It would have been nice to have a motion light outside on the entrance and something to set my suitcase on. Just suggestions, not really criticism.
