La Cachava

The staff person taking care of my check in process was very professional, attentive to details and made me feel extremelly welcome. My room was very comfortable and in a location where I enjoyed a very quiet night. The restaurant facilites, food and staff service was excellent, complementing the overall experience. I stayed there for the Total Eclipse in August during the busy season of El Camino pilgrimage. The property will be my top preference when I am back to the Castrojeriz region.

None- all was perfect.

Ho soggiornato in questo hotel durante il mio Cammino di Santiago e mi sono trovato davvero molto bene. Camera pulita, tranquilla e confortevole, perfetta per riposarsi dopo una giornata di cammino. Il personale è stato gentile e disponibile. Ho cenato anche nel ristorante dell’hotel e sono rimasto molto soddisfatto: ottima cena, ingredienti di qualità e piatti ben preparati. Nel complesso un’ottima esperienza. Struttura che consiglio sicuramente, soprattutto ai pellegrini del Cammino.

Perfect location near the Camino path. Whilst I had a small room (by myself), it was perfect for an overnight stay.

Breakfast could be earlier for pilgrims/walkers. It started at 8am.

The room and the wlcome.

Next morning. When we came for breakfast there were no staff and no breakfast. We were told the day we arrived it should be at 08:00. However, it was 1. of May and that's why it should not be breakfast until 09:00 this day, which we were informed about later this morning. Our luggage should be transported just after 08:00. We were out on the street when the transport arrieved. Then the hotel door was locked, and neither we nor the driver of the transporting car could get in to get our luggage. The driver said it was not the first time with this hotel.
