Stellar Agafay Desert Camp

It was like a slice of paradise. The tents are luxurious, staff so helpful and friendly, the pool is beautiful, the music was great, food was tasty. Entertainment was impressive. Honestly I can’t fault the place at all! Oh and the camels were splendid

Absolutely nothing to dislike

Un 10 de lugar, sin duda volvería, nos quedamos solo una noche y no habría encantado quedarnos un día más y hubiera sido perfecto.

A los camellos no los trataban nada bien y el chico externo que traen para alquilar el Bugy es un mal educado y tuvimos que pedir el dinero de vuelta y regresarnos del tour y no pudimos disfrutarlo ni 5 minutos. Muy mala experiencia pero entendemos que es externo y que ellos no pueden hacer nada más que devolvernos el dinero.

The staff here were amazing! All were very friendly and helpful. Very good customer service. The ‘tent’ was lovely. So spacious, large comfy bed and great private terrace area. Woke up the first morning to camels grazing on the scrubland opposite our tent. Infinity pool is lovely! So long that you can properly swim if you wish to. The location was perfect for us. Just a 1hr drive to be in the desert, feeling like you’re in the middle of nowhere. We opted to book a driver, with the camp, to collect and return us two days later, to Marrakesh. I read some comments that it was cheaper to get a taxi/uber however we were happy to pay slightly more for the excellent service and comfort that we had. Buffet breakfast was good with lovely fresh juices and the option to have an omelette freshly cooked. The lunch/dinner menu had sufficient choice and the meals we had were lovely. Prices were similar to eating at a rooftop restaurant in Marrakesh. There were plenty of activities on offer. We didn’t try any as we just wanted to relax but we could see others going out for camel rides, quad biking etc. The entertainment at dinner each evening was a fire eater/flame thrower. He was fabulous! Despite me highlighting a few negative room design points (in my opinion), I would definitely recommend this camp for a lovely relaxing stay in the desert.

Some minor design/planning points: shower wand over freestanding bath attached too high up on the wall. When sat in the bath can’t reach shower gel dispensers. No shower curtain so water goes all over the bathroom. Light switches are behind the bathroom door so you have to go inside and close the door before you can turn on the lights. The sliding bathroom door is slightly unstable and noisy to open/close. If all sun-beds at the pool were being used at the same time, it would be quite cramped. However, there seemed to be more than enough sun-beds for the current, 10 tents. I think that day visitors sometimes visit this camp also.

L'endroit est intéressant pour quelqu'un qui souhaite décrocher de la vie urbaine. La piscine est jolie et le personnel courtois.

Les chambres ne correspondent pas aux attentes que l'on pourrait avoir d'un hôtel 5 étoiles. Je crois qu'il coute beaucoup trop cher par rapport à d'autres offres aux alentours et le menu est très loin d'être exceptionnel. Franchement, j'ai été très déçu.
