To the east lies Holkham beach, bracing in winter and glorious in summer, as well as Wells-next-the-Sea with its narrow gauge railway running down to the beach, adorned with painted beach huts. Here you will also find a much-photographed quay, seaside attractions and lots of quaint, artisan places in which to eat and shop. Venturing a little further, you can try the Norfolk pursuit of crabbing on beautiful Blakeney Quay, or even take a boat trip out to see the seals (seasonal). Head west and experience all the fun of the fair at Hunstanton with its Sea Life Centre, amusements and small fairground. History buffs will be sure to love Sandringham Estate, Holkham Hall, Blickling Hall and the Hanseatic Old Quarter of King’s Lynn.
