The property: A comfortable home base for exploring the island, with a spacious guest area within our home and common spaces for your convenience and enjoyment.

The 700 sq. ft. guest area is located on the ground level of our house, with 8-foot ceilings and its own exterior entrance.

Set back from the road, the house is surrounded by lush greenery.
The common space includes a sectional sofa with a coffee table, a selection of board games, and a writing desk with a comfortable upholstered chair. Laundry facilities are also available, along with a sink and small eating area. We provide an espresso machine, French press, coffee grinder, and a selection of tea, sugar, salt, and pepper.

Just outside the entrance is a small patio overlooking a mature evergreen garden. Guests also have access to a small covered barbecue area for grilling year-round. The half-acre property is peaceful and private, with plenty of space to unwind and enjoy the natural surroundings.

A cozy sitting area with a propane fire pit overlooks the natural ravine beside the property. In the cooler months, you can hear the gentle sound of the creek while enjoying your morning coffee or a glass of wine by the fire.

The creek and a small waterfall along the trail are at their liveliest from late winter through early spring, when the rains bring the forest to life. Summer brings its own magic, with hummingbirds, butterflies, and songbirds frequenting the property.

Head down to Magic Lake Swimming Hole for a dip or paddle, just a short drive from the house, or bring your discs for a round of disc golf.

Enjoy a 6-minute walk to Boat Nook ocean access via a short, rustic trail adjacent to the property, which picks up again across the main road. The trail includes stairs and uneven terrain—perfect for a quick stroll, but best to pack light and leave the heavy coolers behind.

For dining out, there are a handful of restaurants and pubs—perfect for discovering the island’s local food scene. We’ve included a detailed guidebook with all our favourite spots to help you make the most of your time on Pender.

My husband and I are close by, either upstairs or around the property, so you might occasionally hear us walking around or tinkering, but we’re pretty low-key and try to make sure our comings and goings don’t get in the way of your stay.

We also have a friendly, hypoallergenic small dog who might say hello if she sees you around the property. She’s pretty quiet and usually stays close by our sides.

We respect our guests’ privacy and give you plenty of space to enjoy your stay, while remaining available if you need anything at all.
